:)
I will give it a shot, slow and steady may win this one!
Ahh the old hare and the tortise race. You boy's on wave gear should be able to snake everyone on the turns or atleast catapualt your self through the field like a connon ball, Vikki might be someone to have on your side if you want to use this technique, heard she has the technique perfected now. It was the gear holding her back before I think, needed lighter gear and she's hooked in now so the transfer of power as she goes over the bars will be !!DEVISTATING!! for all those who get in the way. ![]()

Have fun.
Hey Tonto, the Home I went to looked at me like I was crazy and said go to the cheap store. Where do you find Nylex Cover It. Sounds Good to me.
I've only just realised. I'm not a member of WindsurfingSA ! Arrgh !, what do I do ? <panick attack>
the wind forcast isnt looking real promising i dont think!! my car is not in a good state so not sure if i can make it! its easy to sign up to windsurfing sa. eithier on the site, or there will be forms at the event i would think.
All we need to do is make sure somebody fully rigs up, packs up and then goes home. The delivery of a sacrificial windsurfer will please the wind gods.
Hi Everyone,
Just to reply to some questions above. I got some vinyl from Mitre 10 Brighton. And it's true - if you want a Pokemon theme is it easily done :-)
I left the AUS off my sail - just put the "19" on, seeing I'm not planning on any international events. (Might not be what you want to hear Tonto!) If anyone wants to tape an "X" on for the day, it will be better than nothing.
You can join Windsurfing SA at the comp.
Looks like a stinker this morning (Sunday, 7am), but the forecast for the south central coast is looking do-able. Sunday until midnight : Wind: N/NE 8/13 knots shifting S/SW 13/18 knots from the west from mid morning and extending throughout by early evening, reaching 18/23 knots west and south of Kangaroo Island from mid afternoon.
Regards, Dr Duck
Very light wind, but I had fun hooping around doing 2 knots. Nice to put a few more names to faces. See you all again sometime.
I think we might have ourselves a half decent seabreeze tomorrow
. The stuff is staying in the car :)
Thanks to everyone who turned up yesterday at the Murray Mouth. Unfortunately we were skunked by the wind, but at least there was some relief from the heat. Nice to see Dr Duck pulling off some impressive moves on the Kona (freestyle master) and good to see some others out on the water glugging around on their biggest gear with a couple of seals for company. Two planing runs were managed late in the day, but they were hard work.
The next scheduled event is not until January, but we still need to make up for some missed events, so will keep an eye on the weather and try and grab another windy Sunday before Christmas.
Thanks again to everyone who made the effort. ![]()
And thanks to Chris D for supplying the support boat. Here's a photo of Jason and Chris, who scored the best of the wind late in the day. Looks like a good slalom venue to me - would love to see 15 sailors on the water all converging on the one gybe mark. One of the great experiences of the sport IMHO. Maybe next time, eh?
A few potential dark horses were revealed - Jason and Marty look like earlier planers which might pay-off under race conditions one day.
This Sunday looks like it might be windy - S/SW 20-30 (Sth Coast).
Shall we try and do some slalom racing? It'd be nice to get at least one round in....
Murray Mouth.
Let me know who is interested.
Yes, I am keen ! - Will give the new car a run ![]()
(no more crabby drivers getting behind the sharkbiscuit in a slow Charade)

4 Sailors does not maketh a slalom fleet.
Please spread the word and see who else is interested. Decision to race will be made on the number of interested and committed sailors (as shown in this thread) by the end of today....
Hi Chris,
I'm keen but I have to see if I can fit my gear in our other car (Jazz). Never tried before.
Richard
Still not too many takers at this stage?
It's a good forecast, and would be a pity if we didn't do something.
Do we? Don't we?
Richard, can please call me on 0419 035 031 when you get a chance to discuss. Thanks, CD.
