Thanks LeeD, I read most board brand suggest to put it the second last for the back and pick your spread from there, this where the board was design for. But in what occasion you put it really last one...super flat water? Bring more in front when super choppy and closer chop?

I have a question regarding the board trim of the Isonic107/2018:

How to set up the mast position in the mast track for the different sail sizes 8.6, 7.8 and 7.0.

I?ve used a 7.8 Overdrive in the middle position. For my feeling, the board was not really free and flying.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Bernhard the 2018 107 trims a little lower so I generally run my mast track back couple cms.
Raising the boom will also lift the nose. The type of fins also affect board trim.
Try moving the mast track back first then the boom height.

Thanks a lot vando, that helps to go in the right direction with the trim.
What is your recommendation regarding the fin sizes for the 7.0 and 7.8 sails on the IS107.

As a general guide 36 for the 7 and 38 for the 7.8

I received my Isonic 107 last week, two days on a 7.8 and I can honestly say, the board is not comparable to the JP 112(2013) that I had. Is 5 years of evolution or the shape, but even with a slighly smaller board, but 4 extra cm on the width, the board jump start sooner and release speed like crazy!!!!!! Compare to other, i found the board is quite high on water, foil better than my old JP, but is a air less comfortable on longer runs! I don't have my GPs(broke my watch), but definitely release speed faster and sounds faster than my old JP! On think I was constantly battling with my old bord is too much pressure on back foot, regardless the position of the boom, mast track etc, now I'm very well balance!!

i also tested the makani tumble weed carbon(38cm) and it's way slippery than other G-10 fins that I have, Even if th tumble weed is a weed fin! If you struggle with weed, there is a relief!!

Hi all,
I would like to change my 107 2016 for a 2018 c. reflex, but I read that it may not have the deep tuttle box. I have all deep fins that I bought for the 2016.
Can you tell me what the 2018 107 has? Deep tuttle? "Medium" tuttle? std Tuttle as written on the catalog? Unfortunately I have no way to check.

Thanks!

2018 107 ls not deep tuttle, deeper than a tuttle however. The 2019 might be dt since it's foil ready.

ThanksNordRoi

If I have to change my Zfin quiver from DT to std tuttle I don't save the money to take 2018.
The only doubt of 2019 is that the 72 is not too big respect the my 107 2016, or the 67 too small...
