The high aspect ratio is my main criticism. My current 7.0 m Race sail rigs on a 430 mast.

HI Kukahi. Aerofoils with hi aspect ratio is more efficient in L/D ratio. We can see it in commercial aircraft , gliders and even in nature , soaring birds, like albatross for example. Low aspect ratio and excessive twist in latest single ply sail design used to extend wind range .

MW, Congratulations from retired aerospace engineer ( F16, F15, F35, F22, S97, CH47, 737 Max, 747, 777, A350, A320neo, ERJ190, MRJ, G650). Good invention and solid reduction to practice. I think some participants here are just trolling so they can be simply ignored.
I have been collecting comments about hydrofoiling and found your sails. I am trying to find a good solution for light wind. I found 3 options:
1. Light wind board with 12+ sail. Gets on plane at 10 knots with pumping.
2. frpgear fly-fin with 6.5 sail. gets on plane at 8 knots without pumping.
3. High Lift/Drag ratio hydrofoil like LK1200 with 7 m sail. gets in flight at 7 knots with aggressive pumping.
When you get on plane on a fly-fin or in flight on a foil at light wind your apparent wind is coming almost straight on you because you are going fast. So the traditional sail is not working well. Your MW sail seems to the best solution for these high speed light wind options. I am considering to invest into option 2 and 3. Do you think you can deliver one sail for both options or it needs to be two special sails for frpgear fly-fin and for an efficient hydrofoil?
BTW, I think most of participants here are still wandering what is L/D.

I just popped a beer and should not be posting tonight but when you think the world has changed to a better place MW sails is back and shows you wrong.
It pulls the plug on freedom of speach and I wish the Chinese anti internet committe hits real hard on this tread as it might impose to the next generation that there are no such things as humble windsmurfers. If anybody knows Xi Jinping please call him and tell him that the wsmurf community needs help.

I'm not against the idea, it looks well made and the idea is sound BUT trying to rig that on a windy beach could be hell.

Hi ! After so many years of perfecting and simplifying my project , asymmetrical wing sail its ready for commercial release. Ultimate sailing machine become reality now . With wind range 15-45 kt unimaginable stability , speed yet very easy to handle upwind , downwind and jibes. When sailing with wing it feels like liberation , great upwind angle , cross wind speed and stability , downwind is a child play... I sail wing 3- 4 hour session in the deep and shallow waters with wind around 14 kt progressing during the day to 35 kt without any sign of overpowering just pure exiting and amazing feeling of ultimate drive. Hello MWsails

I have 3 question:

1) You said that wing have just a little twist ,so how depower wing when gust hit you,how wing release excess power from gust if sail leech do not open?Is it like you drive race sail with no downhaul at all?

2)Did you ever make measurment of wind velocity on lower and upper part of windsurfing sail/wing?Do you agree that twist in regular windsurf sail is because of wind shear(faster wind at upper sail) or it is just for depower and make sail more forgiving to catapult?

3)Why main brands do not start produce wings instead race sail? There must be some big reason, beacuse everybody knows that wing is far more efficient then sail...(even in my opinion, today race sails are more wings then sails, have luff pocket that have thickness and two sides etc)
