hi guys, looks like the network is working and some of you have figured out it's a low tide this sunday. I think pete may have looked at the wrong tide chart when he was planning things.
I tried to get in touch with him tonight to see what he is planning but couldn't so i'll make a call and say we postpone to next weekend.
I'll be back with more info,
Good call Justin...what if we go to Maroochydore this Sunday...sail around Goat Island and have a bbq?...

Is that this Sunday 17 or next Sunday 24? For goat island?
i'm out for Maroochydore this weekend.
I spoke to peter n this morning and he's looking towards the 24th but too early to confirm details.
Yep this coming Sunday Jeff.
The best place for rigging is at the Cotton tree car park, at the second jetty. Between the playground and the council pool.
Around 10.30am?

I can see it is a different goat island to the one I was looking at!
Bit too far away for me. I'll head for Manly. Cheers.
High tide Sunday. 2:00pm and 1.66m.
Not a big tide, is this still enough for a decent sail?
Jeff and the other regulars, how far either side of high do you reckon would be sailable.
Cheers, Brad.
That's not a very big tide at all. If it's a reasonable tide you can get in two hours either side of high. Otherwise Bongaree is great. It's also heaps better and cleaner wind.

Hi brad I usually aim for 2hrs either side of high. Probably a bit more with little fins on longboards. The Seagrass and mud make the slog out unpleasant.
So maybe we may take up Darren's suggestion of bongaree?
I can only go in the morning as I have afternoon shift at work this Sunday
Cheers Jeff
Pretty close, but where am I in the background trying to water start while drifting out the passage towards Moreton?
