I'll be playing it by ear at this stage Brad. If it's windSUP conditions I might just sail at Beachmere.
Rightio.
Might do a short session at Bells Beach in the morning now. If I survive this man flu that is.
Not so tide dependant And I need to home at the pre agreed time....or else!!
Wally World at Bongaree yesterday, and Sandstone today withe Waricle Pete.
Wally's at Byron Bay Saturday and Sunday.
Wouldn't be dead for quids. ![]()

Another trip to Sandstone, great day with light wind gear and the odd squall. Had a go on the new Wally and have to say that I had a smile on my dial and that's something that didn't happen on the old model wally. A long time coming but worth it.
Nice work lads. That's pretty funny Pete, Darren will be happy that we no longer break his heart with how krap we reckon Wally boards are ![]()
Good plan Brad, it's not looking real flash over the weekend. I'll probably break out the windSUP during the week when I get real desperate.
Maybe I won't have to break out the windSUP this week, looks like some wind tomorrow arvo lads, high tide at 1700 so probably enough water at 1400 if anyone's keen ![]()
Hey Paddles, agreed what a let down thursday was.
Had a constant15-18 on wednesday arvo. 8.5m fully honkin. Haven't sailed in 10 days. Really notice lack of match fitness. I only lasted 2hrs.
Hope it comes in today for us all.![]()

I had Sandstone Point all to myself in the morning session from 9 to 11. It was one of those sails I dream of with enough wind to get planing and water starting with ease, lots of gybing practice. No speed records with a constant 15Kn breeze but a real pleasant sail. I loved it. This is living
Going to Bongaree Saturday or Sunday if wind looks promising. Think it may be better if any West in wind. Less tide dependant too. Sure the sandstone boys will chime in if I am wrong...
Keep an eye on the wind Jase, the Seabreeze forecast has been inaccurate for up this end of the bay and the BOM ocean wind model has been pretty close this week ie seabreeze shows 15kn and BOM model shows 5-10kn so it's Wally World or windSUP's or raceboards ![]()
Keen to get there but agree with the predictions being off lately.
If any of you guys have any input on my fin project on the general forum, let me know, you are sailing in similar waters to me.
Or just tell me I am mad.![]()

Yeah it looks that way, wont bother with the drive if Meteye doesn't change its tune...
Hey guy's, we're having a meet -up at Sandstone tomorrow and setting a course and encouraging people to have a go and pick up a few tips.
Anyone with a long board should join in with those of us with One Design's.
Paddles bring your Windsup mate.
It's about having fun, and the weather looks perfect , with neap tide's and high in the middle of the day.
Brad and Tony now have One Design rig's and are coming. I think Olschool is bringing his raceboard down too, so it's looking like a good turn out. Jeff, haven't you got a rig for your One Design too??????
Anyone who want's me to bring an extra One Design let me know. Peter has a couple extra too, so there's plenty between us, but you have to let us know. it's a lot to carry with a full car.
I braved the grubby westerly this morning at Beachmere. Fun when it was consistent, difficult when it got really gusty. It's not so bad when the bullets all come from the one direction but they started to come from all over the place ![]()
The water was freezing and clean and clear, lovely till you get knocked off, luckily I only fell off once ![]()
Yeah, it was silly wind Dag, all over the place. John sailed Sandstone and reckons it was alright. Good tides and wind for the rest of the week for Sandstone maybe. I've got an economics exam in the morning and have told Amanda to have real low expectations of me for the rest of the week ![]()
No real wind = no real grin. But hey i guess the vegie garden needs an upgrade. 2 crazies seen sailing the Cal bar at 7am yesterday. 7'C at the time. Now thats keen!![]()
I did the Brissie to Bay on Sunday and it came in as we turned west to head home. The last 20km are pretty hilly. A cold head wind on top of that was not wonderful.
Oh dear, this will not do Bradley, winter gentleman's cycling is best kicked off at 1100 hours on a nice sunny day with no wind. That's how we do it here in Beachmere anyway ![]()
Fun sail today with Parso and The Pope, I was on a timetable today but tomorrow I'm not so should hopefully be really good again. I ha d a number of overpowered moments with a 7.5 today.
Been very quiet, any movement Tuesday for a warm south-easterly sail?
Yes a bit desolate at the moment. Been spending time at the gym keeping the pilates ladies entertained - 'lift and tuck' ![]()

^ Sssshhhhhh...... don't make too much noise about it. You will scare the wind away. Wind or work? Wind or work? Its a gamble..... putting all mine on black. For Wind. Dont want red arrows!!![]()
