Who's going to Burrum, and when?
I looked at the tide's, and realised that's when the comp's on.
What's the camping like?
Hi Dag, im heading up to Burrum. Camping. Never been before. So will check it all out. Looks like fun.Wind is picking up, but so is the rain. ??
Knocked off a few km before breakfast To overthrow The King well everybody was sleeping
Haha - that's great
>dag
Pete and I are at Gympie and the wind is blowing :-). Forecast for week at Burrum is lifting by the hour. Wahoo
camping is great. Camp kitchens BBQ areas iga across road
cheers Jeff
Had to get some extra rod work out of the road.
Trying to cram the study in at the moment, two lots of work due in 2nd April.
Not confident enough to tack it on the end of sailing.
Still not confident that fuel, money, etc. is worth the trip up either yet.
There's another two go's coming up. A week between each with identical tides.
Although I fear the end of the SE'rs.
Let's see how all the above go's. There's still six more day's to go.
Have fun guy's.
Hope you guys made it back safely. I enjoyed my new hammock and now the rain has eased. Think it will be a morning bump and jump expression session to compete in fun and a bumpy arvo race tomorrow if they can set a northerly course at the river mouth or outer leads Can,t be harder than offshore from the passage down there but you gotta be in it to find out.
Reserve day is on if SE forecast holds for Friday so hope you all get to enjoy it down there also. But here is the place to stay to learn from the best . Can,t beat em but it is fun trying. I ,ll keep you posted and hopefully see you all Sunday.
I think I might be up for that Jeff.
I'll be trying for as much of the SE'r as possible too.
I bet my fitness has taken a little slide backwards with red arrows and no sailing for two or three weeks.
The wind strength and smaller boards will test it.
You blokes will be sailing amongst all the krap running out of Ningi Creek and the passage. 93mm in Cabbo in the last 18 hours and a heavy rain cloud stretching to the Whitsundays, are you sure you know what you're in for?
Just caught the news. no one going anywhere today.
I new it was gunna flog down but that's buggered it.
Just called in to Turner's camp there's enough wind for a sail. But bring an umbrella. No roads flooded towards Bribie yet.
The flow out would be tremendous regardless of debris I recon.
Looking like I'm going to spend some fuel money in the coming day's though.![]()
Have you guy's used-up all your day's off, brownie points, favor's, IOU's, "remember when's", etc.

3 days of my holidays left
not sure I want to tackle the Sw winds off Bongeree - ptsd!!!
s to SE winds high tide sandstone look promising on the weekend
water will be dirty so that means Adams shark will be hiding ;-)
What you can't see can't harm you Jeff, just like the boogie man. The wind is getting a little wild here right now.
PTSD? I thought you came out clean from Burrum this time Jeff? What happened?
High tides in the middle of the day, I reckon I'll be at sandstone too. At least for the first go, testing fitness.
Still trying to get this homework in first though. Late night tonight.
Can't wait for a sail. Been grumpy as hell.

PTSD. .... I have yet to survive a SW session from bongaree
always seem to end up under the jetty
Hi Sandstone Crew. I sail Golden beach. Had it to myself today.Sailed 16-20kts for 3hrs before lunch. Returned at 3pm to get totally overpowered. No sails smaller than 7.2m. Wind 30kts+ NNE. Woohoo!!
Andrew.
Hi JJ . You are only one step away now. I knew you could do it. Now we have contact.![]()
On my way home guys. Shall explain all sunday.
Yep a good meet up today
surprised how well sandstone worked with the Se-ssw winds
as per forecast wind was dying when Adam(king) and I arrived to catch pope john and dags bagging out their 5.* sails.
I was keen to get time on the 123 super sport with 7.5 ezzy and 43 fin
Boys said the fin was too small but I said after seeing what they sail at Burrum every fin we use is huge!
had a great run out on the board - first planning run on it - wahoo. Wasn't game to go for rear strap however already going as fast as I did at Burrum :-)
A little adjusting and off across the bay both feet in straps, feeling comfortable and fast
THUMP......... I'm over the front!!!!!***^!!??

So a long walk in dragging the board and the log ashore.
Alls well - busted fin and harness lines.
cheers Jeff
Two people in one session. I was there long enough to put my fears to rest a bit.
I couldn't see any big obstructions at low tide, although it wasn't dead low.
That's what I wanted to avoid. A day or so of onshore wind and hopefully all that krap will be on the beach and it'll be happy days again.
