I normally wouldn't feel comfortable joining any club that would actually accept me in as a member.
...but this sounds interesting.
did they let you in??
Still hopeful, although it wouldn't be the first Gold Coast club I've been thrown out of.
This one doesn't have strippers.![]()
Yes we're a bit more rustic up here by the Bay. We have some knitting clubs and a horticulture club. None of that razzle dazzle high life of the Gold Coast.![]()
Perhaps a JetSki hunting seasion just December to February old boards of corse mabe with reinforced sharpened noses.
just to thin the herds not an outright culling just a thinning ![]()

Great work Tony and Ian for getting this initiative off the ground. I'm really looking forward to being of assistance in putting something back into Windsurfing on the Gold Coast. ![]()
Dear potential Gold Coast Windsurfing Club members, Now that we are officially a club, we would like you to sign up and jump on board with this exciting new group. To take advantage of public liability insurance (up to 10 million dollars), social events and club merchandise its easy as sending your email address to gcwindsurfing.club@outlook.com and we will send out a membership form. We look forward to hearing from you and a windy season Cheers GCWC.![]()
Now is time for Tshirts.Vista print could do for us at $20 each ,which seems to be reasonable.
But I prefer rather different color to white. While sailing , in color may last longer.
What color ? of course GOLD !
Great to see Brendan Moore (AUS-40) from GCWC flying around the RQYS course area on his foil yesterday. As per Cameron's earlier suggestion, it would be great to have an event on the Gold Coast hosted by GCWC for windsurfers from WW, Bayside, LCSC and RQYS ... would you have an ocean event or a Broadwater event?
Nice one Zoran! Gerry is a legend just to get that old board of his going!!! Great to see someone else with the action cam out.
Just wow guys and girls,
The feedback I am getting from all the windsurfers in South East Queensland and northern New South Wales is just amazingly positive about our new club with everyone wanting to be a part of it not only for the fun times ahead but for being a collective voice when it comes to our prized sailing spots being protected and improved not to mention events to come!
We will keep you updated as news comes to hand. cheers Ian ![]()

For those of you who don't know me, I was at the formation meeting of the Queensland Sailboard Club in !979 at Bulimba Yacht Club and was President of QSC in the Eighties helping run lots of title events also Queensland Wavesailing Association in the Nineties running state and national title events so I am aware of all the madness involved and getting sponsorship....good times ahead!
We have a great central committee
and are looking forward to getting everyone involved. cheers Ian
