If you can get them to commit that would be ideal as numbers will fill up as they did last year.
Should be a cracker of a day up at Marmong with the lessons along side their club racing.
Sam.

The LTWS has 3.5m ONE sails however we have some 2.5 at the shop we can bring down.
Please call us at the shop to discuss as it might be more fun for them to put all the children together in one group.

Cheers
Anne

That's great news. Another good reason why a local windsurfing store makes sense.

Definitely gonna drop by to have a look at the new gear. There might be a few people from uni around coming since the facebook event was posted on their windsurfing group walls.

To demo the gear please just say hi to the guys at the trailer and have a chat about which board you'd like to take for a spin!

Nice Pick Up K Dog

After reviewing the banner/flyer I couldn't help noticing the 'placement' of a lens flare in the actual shot

Well I'm assuming it's a lens flare

Great day at Marmong! The wind didn't oblige -6kts by the meter but I didn't realise I could have so much fun in 6kts! Had a few friends and hogged the JP superlight with a 7.7m sail.I reckon I'd plane in 8kts..So nice to be able to sail along and chat and not worry about balancing.
I haven't socialised like that on the water since the 80's..If I win lotto I think I'll replace my 125 with the superlight & a lightweight 7.7m rig ( 5 - 15kts ) then get a 11 ltre Futura for 15-20 & the 95 + 78 for more..

My two boys had a ball with the eldest showing potential at 5 years old. His balance on the SUP surprised me and had no trouble holding the sail on the Starboard. Saw you there Sue but didn't get a chance to speak. My boys are a handful.

A big thanks on behalf of Marmong Windsurfing club to Sam and Anne from Windsurf N Snow for helping to make a great day for the Newcastle windsurfing fraternity. Hopefully a few more people now have the bug and can help to spread the disease.
The sort of day we need to make an annual event at least. If only the breeze had played ball then everybody would have got a sail in.
Thanks to the Sydney guys and others for coming along to boost the numbers as well.
Cheers

HI

Great day had today, took the family down good to see new learners on the water.

My 7year old had a short but extremely exhilarating time as Sam took him on a introductory tour on the water, Thanks Sam for your time.

Lucas did not stop talking about his efforts until he feel asleep early for a change.

Next time I'll ring to get the 1.5sail down for my son to have a better chance to hold the sail up never the less today was great thanks to the team at WSS.

Kind Regards
Walt

I was watching a few people take their kids out and thought it was a great idea.Loved the way the adult would sail with them.
Only problem with these demo days is it makes you want more gear...

Thanks to everyone for the day; I got a lot out of it.
But what was with the two blokes who would soak up some rays, then go for a swim, twice - amongst newbies on boards. I don't think a mast through the head is a good look.

Communications between instructor and individual student out on the water was curious - Anne would keep talking at her normal volume while a jet would take off at the nearby airport. A mime then would have been as effective. This happened several times.

Labelling of staff may have helped - I spoke to 2 blokes in WindSurfnSnow T's who said they weren't staff. Three different people spoke to me, thinking I was staff - 'you look professional'; I was wearing a white-water kayak helmet. And I was the only person in sight wearing footwear - as requested by WSS staff when I rang weeks ago.

@ wollemi

Man it is free and a great idea, what do you expect?, it would cost you 50euros/hour in Europe to learn windsurf on an average gear and you are here complaining because there is a bit of noise when you have your lesson. Just be happy to have brand new gear and nice people giving their time to teach you. Ho! and take out the helmet next time it won't cover your hears and it will give you a better balance.
When you have remarques like that don't do it on a public forum!! It is so not polite!
