Now I know some of you have been sitting on the edge of your seats since getting home on Sunday night, awaiting the release of the results, most anxious being Rick. We are pleased to now release in draft format the result for the weekend. In the event of any believed discrepancies please message us via seabreeze and we will look into it.

The day started off a bit average with a fair amount of weed and the breeze still hanging in the east, with a few people falling into the trap of going south of Wangi where you ended up with a lack of pressure to get back due to the wind shadow (this just comes with experience Rick).

The second session was pretty good, still some weed but if you could get up higher the flats were starting to deliver with no weed and the breeze now in the NE. Strategies varied between sailors here with the goal to record the best nm, 10 second and alpha.

Tip from Muz if you need a good 10 second, focus on the nm and getting the 10 second during this run and kill two goals in one.

Tip for Dezza, best not to gybe in your nm attempt, it's just simple maths it will be faster if you just do one nice long run of at least 2.5 - 3 minutes long.

Finally I think everyone will agree the slalom on the Swansea flats was fantastic and was the first time in about 10 years it has all lined up for some great high speed figure of 8 in relatively flat water with the exception of the outside gybe zone where it always seemed to be a little bumpy.

Massive thanks to Glen Wright for all his effort on Sunday and volunteering his time to make it happen for us.

Next up State Titles at Myall Lakes 4,5, and 6th December.

Thanks for collating the results, Muz! (despite you claiming to have beat me by 13 meters in that first GPS!?)
A great day.

Well done everyone, was good watching from the sand islands. I will just say again if I may ?? and this time I'll word it different. Yes there is a foil series (for upwind/ downwind racing BUT if there was a separate category for foil GPS and Slalom you would attract more people. It's hard for a foiler to be competitive against fins mostly. Anyway glad you all had a great day and I'll see you at Myall.

We sure did all have a great day sailing and racing together.

Your point is taken and the Series is open to all equipment and we encourage everyone from the windsurfing community, fin or foil to attend these events and help build the Series either on fin or foil.

Classes and Series evolve based on who attends and as more dedicated foiler's attend there is no doubt a foil division will evolve. At present over the 2 heats there have been a total of 4 dedicated foil only competitors enter and and a further 6 alternating between foil and fin.

We are more than happy to trial collating the dedicated foil only results separately to help build this class if that's what people are after. Maybe for next season there maybe a dedicated foil division, but this will only happen once we see greater participation of the foilers only Division.

The Series is low key, no sheep stations on offer and aims to provide a competitive platform for everyone across the fleet to race against others of similar skill and speed, you can have just as much fun hitting it out for position 8,9 or 10th as the guys at the front.

Looking forward to seeing more people attend and building the Series, fin, foil, fin and foil don't care just come along and build the Series and have fun.

Hi crew.

I wasn't planning on coming but with the foil state cup in doubt I am now reconsidering. I'm hoping to camp out in my Van but need to share a site since there are no sites available except for walk in tents.

I checked and shared sites are allowed max 6 people.
I'll bring a cappuccino machine and power cord to sweeten the deal.
DM me if you would like to share a site.

Don't sit at home on the lounge, come along for an action packed 3 days of sailing and racing on the East Coast's largest freshwater (brackish) Coastal Lake, with the added bonus of a very relaxing location to spend a couple of days.

The Broadwater offers fantastic sailing in any wind direction from our south facing launch with 3km long runs common and the potential for a thigh burning 5km also on offer.

A variety of categories and races are planned to keep it interesting for everyone including;

1. GPS - Total distance over time (30min to 1hr sessions)
2. GPS - Multi Category sessions (2 sec, 10 sec, nm, alpha)
3. Slalom - Downwind "M" and figure of 8
4. Slalom - long course

Fin, foil or both anything goes.

Still plenty of accommodation options available including
1. Myall Shores
2. Mungo Brush National Park Camping
3. Hawks Nest (20 minutes drive + ferry)
4. Bulahdelah (20 minutes drive dirt road)

I got Hugh's site but that should have left RV 1 vacant ( waterfront furthest west before the cabins)..

For those who couldn't get away Friday you may be able to do the full program on Saturday and Sunday. This low wind forecast Friday may encourage people to come along for the weekend only ??

I've got some photos and video that I need to edit. I'll put them in drop box so people can save any they want.
I'll have to setup dropbox first..
Videos are of Tibor & Berowne. They won't be edited.
I'll post a few pics here . It might take me a week or so..
