Went to Rebel Sport today and bought myself a Christmas present - a Fenix 6X Sapphire. $699.
Old price sticker on the box is $1399.
Now I need to learn how to drive it.

Just get rid of the rubber band immediately(if it has one). Too many Garmin get lost due band breakage during water sports, webbing band only with the silly quickfit attachments that break.
I would like to mention . although the quick release band are convenient....they are also easy to pop off when you don't want them too. and how often do you swap bands ?
I don't use the quick release bands. I use a regular band instead.the Fenix 5 was easy b/c the pin was a screw you could remove easily. on the 6,7, epix it uses the spring type pins . a little finicky but not too bad to remove.
just fyi.
I have had my Fenix 6 for at least 18 months since they first came out. Has not left my wrist apart from charging. No issue with the band at all.
Never go surfing!
I lost my Garmin helping my kids surf when the leash rope got caught on my arm and pulled the watch off my wrist.
So there were a lot of things I liked about the Garmin 5X. Looking to find something similar.
*+ Nice watch lasts a week+ on battery charge
*+ GPSTC data fields - although unofficial
*- GPSTC incompatible
*+ Heart rate and other sensors
Are there any decent GPSTC compatible options better than the Locosys GW60?
Are there any better watches than Garmin?
Is the Garmin 6 less accurate than the 5?
Thanks

Coros GPS watch, hands down!
