What a fabulous spot - great flying and footage Paul! I guess it's wrong to laugh when you went all Scissorhands on the sail, but I couldnt help myself.![]()

Sensational piloting, footage and editing. It will go down as a weekend to remember. I didn't think I'd ever get to share 'live' footage of windsurfing at its best with the kids and family. Thank heap Paul!
Great video, I would definitely love to sail there one day!
how on earth did you manage not to lose your drone in the drink?
Hey thanks Fellas!!
Glad you liked it.... Even though I usually wave sail I've always loved the speed aspect to windsurfing.... after hitting 27.5 knots yesterday using George's GPS watch and feeling humiliated on the wave gear I might eventually get some proper fast stuff some day.... it's good fun!

I was wondering the same thing! I had a few very close calls to losing it yesterday.... but it's worth the risk to get the shot!
Wowsers Paul - amazing work. So close to the drone @ 2:01 - I didn't even see it!!!
Wow Bushfire can't believe you didn't see the drone.... I was hovering there seeing you head straight for the drone and I was thinking, "He's seen the drone....he might do a close pass...I won't move the drone and let him sort out a good shot."
Imagine if you just ploughed straight into it that would have been gnarly although I would have done a split second eject and head for the clouds to spare your head.![]()
Wicked footage!! Bushfires head on shot is my favourite. Really shows the board working n lifting on the fin. Yeeewwww!!! Gotta check that Primbee place out....![]()
For the people sailing at primbee over the weekend who mayve seen Bob standing out in the cold water taking photos, chances are there's a pic of you in several albums posted on the facebook Illawarra Speedsters page, thanks for the great shots Bob!
Wickedly good footage. Crazy stance there bro.
Are you talking about Kenny?
Awesome work paul, especially for the conditions. ( wind all over the place and as gusty as hell).
Love the videos, hope you enjoyed the sailing too.
It is usually quite gusty but i think the wind over the weekend was more erratic than usual.
Wow , looks like Col (Birdseyeview) no longer needs to hire helicopters for aerial footage. Excellent shots.
The vortex off the sail at 5.48 gave you a few wobbles. Does the drone sort it out itself or did you need to do some quick maneuvers to stop a ditching?

I don't know, I guess the drone is pretty tough! ![]()

The drone does a great job of maintaining heights via GPS but it's up to me to avoid crashing into things.... the camera gimbal is the main issue.... when's it's windy it struggles. ![]()
Sweet flying and footage
. Hows that old school powerful leach
on what looks like a NP RAF Garda at 4:40 .
Wickedly good footage. Crazy stance there bro.
The upper body and head stance - yep. Whatever works!

Ado's got us ALL looking at our stance now on the video ![]()
. Who do you mean?
I think he's messing with us. How can your upper body and head be related to your stance? By definition, your stance is related to your feet and legs???
Or perhaps he's just having a go at the stance in your avatar Jetlag!!
Body position, posture, stance. I'm referring to the whole body function but in this case, in some bits of the video he's bending his whole upper back towards the boom and craning his head towards the boom too. Around 1:30 and 2:00 it's very pronounced. The orthodox thing to do with all sailing is move as much body outboard to gain leverage and forward drive ... especially the upper body.
Just thought it was interesting. Each to their own. Looks like he's having bucket loads of fun.

Let me guess....your talking about the first video, not the latest one?
Wickedly good footage. Crazy stance there bro.

1:30 - grounding out the fin when trying to get moving and narrowly avoiding a catapult - we've all be there at Primbee!![]()
2:00 - Rob seems to favour the overhand front grip. He might have been about to enter a gybe, where most people I know revert to an overhand front grip in preparation. Stance might look quite different with an underhand front grip.
As for Kenny in the snapshot above from the second Primbee video, he wears boardies like a kiter - what more can I say! I forgive him because he sails Norths though!
