Notice of record attempt at Lake George.
24 hr
Good luck and good winds Craig, success or not I am looking forward to reading the story.![]()
Walking back from the pub at 9pm and it was still blowing 15 to 20 kts. It's close to a full moon. Huey is providing the challenge, your definitely up for it Craig.
go Kato go !!
at least 604...![]()
well 603, wasn't a world record, I'm fairly sure that's what Craig is aiming for.
What's needed is at least two GPSs that are the same, and full files on both of them.
There's only the gt31 and maybe a DIY with big battery that will do that.

He started at around 4pm yesterday. He is wearing x 4 GT-31's. We could not get enough LCD Motions in time for this. The aim is 850+ in the 24 hrs.

Amazing thing Kato is doing, not as simple as just sailing 24hrs all the background stuff that needs to be done to achieve a world record. Probably a bit out of date but here is the link of what is needed.

Those rules are substantially correct, but have been updated a few times since with additional categories, simplified procedures and approved devices.
Those updates were submitted to GPS-SS (along with Craig Hollins current 24hr record) but they were not added to the website for unknown reasons.
