i take my hat off guys,
that's great stuff......
(any reports of ufo's in the local media the next day.
)
Looking at the video I couldn't help thinking how easily you could use your night vision everytime the lights happened to hit your rig.
Listening to Dr Karl the other day and he was talking about night vision and your eyes light receptor sensitivity.
Going from memory he said white light was the worst for speed of returning night vision which came back within 30 mins whereas other colours such as red returned within 10 mins.
I don't know whether i is possible to include a coloured filter on your lamps as it reduce the white light effect and allow your sight to return quicker.
The other alternative(one which we use on gloomy evenings) is to sail with yellow safety glasses, it's amazing how much these improve low available light, they would also negate the effect of the white light blindness allowing you to see better with the limited illumination.
Great work guys, The woodies point crew regularly do Full moon stuff festooned in glow sticks, doing speed runs by torch light is seriously ballsy![]()
sounds like a good idea but what you need is a lot of solar lights to mark out the speed strip on the sand
.
