how long was each leg approximately?
3 km max . Most were a bit shorter, 5km would be perfect.
How are the hands now, and what's the next thing on your agenda? Bass Strait has been done hasn't it?

Yes it has, one way on a Olympic one design. I did have 3 attempts at getting all the team together to attempt the crossing. Got off the beach once only to hit no wind and sea fog 8 km offshore. I've seen sea fog here maybe 4 times in all my time windsurfing here
. The plan was to go there and back with a support boat all the way. Just couldn't get a forecast to line up. This year would have been perfect ![]()
lots of Easterlies and no south easterlies. Too old now and time for someone else to have a crack. WA venture is next ![]()

Kato,
No amount of hyperbole actually comes close to describing what you have achieved. Those Kms are just mind boggling large....as a comparative I drive out west and do 800+km one way in around 8 hours (there's some low level flying at the back end) and I'm as stiff as Tutankhamen at the end just sitting on my arse - couldn't begin to imagine the mental strength required to will yourself to go on over the screaming howls of your body. It's hard to believe that someone has done that on a sailboard in only around 3 times it takes an automobile to do.
Much respect.
Cheers Snags.
