Nic. I'm having trouble understanding your post. What are you referring to? Is it the photo in your profile?


let me put into terms a windsurfing architect could understand

Me = 39 knots
w*nkers >/= 40 knots

Anthony Mundine's nickname is Choc (not Choco) and hence Stringers avatar - I was following on from Bonominator's comment -(probably too cryptic). And anyway, you look way older than forty Choco.

PS - I don't want to speak for Stringer, maybe his reference of w*nker was more endearing than critical i.e. I too want to be a 40knot+ w*nker one day .

But then what is the relevence of things like the GPSTC? Bragging rights?
Is there an award for best / most PB increases, PB in roughest water, PB under 30 knts, etc etc?

Maybe. But I've never come across an endearing w%anker! It's usually a yes or no proposition when it comes to w%nkerdom. I was referring to the photo in Stringer's photo gallery with the big double finger job not the avatar.

So tru Kato, nearly cracked 40 pk at Rye/Port Phillip Bay yesterday, bettered previous PB by ~3 knots, and increased NM a bit as well, plus an awesome 5000 for the Bay.
We may have great conditions at Sandy Pt, but when 45s are becoming the norm there, its the advances in speeds one can achieve at other spots with tougher conditions that give you another buzz. WA's Melville & Peli I would rate as a close comparison to Rye, having sailed the Swan it certainly makes for a great training ground for places like SP.

If you can sail fast in bad conditions, SP will offer you an easy ticket to 40.
