Don't need too much detail.
Any update on progress

Did all the goopy messy bits...sunk the foil and mast base reinforcements and test fitting of PVC deck.

Dar,
Connecting threads (from the mast track replacement) - how thick is the mast track re-enforcement block? Just the depth of the track or deeper?

Great link to the French forum, btw - fun reading.

Hi Oaducah

Mast track is 30cm deep...pvc is 45cm.

Not sure what the pros do?

Thanks. Sounds reasonable. Good luck on the build. Looks like fun!

The planets never seem to align for me to sail in winter with work and family so I do a lot of cycling.
Decided to turn my old 26" mountain bike into my winter commuter. Dropped 2.5kg off it in the process.
Much more comfortable position. Did 50km on it yesterday morning, not far off the pace of my good bike.

I've built plenty of windsurfers but words can't describe how much work has gone into this thing (3 years to date)
Cold moulded timber and epoxy - double diagonal planking (like the WW2 torpedo boats).
Double bias S-glass outer sheathing and Kevlar inner.
Many a times I have wanted to quit but have pulled myself together just in time before setting it alight with fuel and a match :-)
