I have same concern on made in China 100% carbon mast... I know... maybe is only a bias but being in a searching for a >90% carbon 430 RDM mast for my Goya Banzai 6.3/5.7 I'm considering everyday more the Nolimitz Sumo as best solution...
Does anybody have experince with this combo? Any negative advise for Nolimitz Sumo? Top quality alternatives for Goya sails?
+1 for AWS comments.
I have a Nolimitz Sumo 430 and an Ezzy Hookipa 460, both 91% and bought used. After comparing them, I noticed the serial # format was identical. Pretty obvious they came out of the same factory. Per the serial #s, NL confirmed the 430 was built in 2009 and the 460 in 2006. They are both in amazing condition. I see no value in paying extra for 100% carbon if you can get 15-16 years out of a 91% mast.
I already have a Nolimitz Sumo 400 that I use with smaller sails (5.3 Goya Banzai and 4.7 Goya Guru) and all in all it seems to work very well... for bigger sails (Banzai 6.3 and 5.7) I was considering to go for a 100% carbon due to lighter weight, higher refelex and an average use that is more flat water/bump and jump rather than pure wave... for the moment I still using a 12 years old Fiberspar Radius 430 95% carbon which I think is now time to change... I'm considering differet possibilities but I would go for a long lasting solution (as I'm used to change gears every year...) and that's why I was looking for advise... If anybody else has good experiences with any other mast brand (matched with Goya sails) please share them...

NoLimitz used to make the Ezzy Hookipa masts up until ~5 years ago.
NoLimitz also used to make masts for Goya, including the 90% and 99% carbon models. I know Goya stopped sourcing 99% from NoLimitz after a couple years but was still getting 90% made by NoLimitz AFAIK
Both the Ezzy Hookipa and Goya 90 Pro masts were slight variations of the NoLimitz Sumo (as opposed to the softer flexing Original Skinny).
NoLimitz Sumo masts have a thick wall and are very durable. I know people who have many, many years on these masts, but nothing is indestructible obviously. You can definitely get a lighter mast than a Sumo, but it just depends on what you're looking for. Bang for the buck considering its durability and broad compatibility, it is hard to go wrong w/ a Sumo.
