The President of WNSW working out potential logistics of the downwinder after twilight sailing at DAC last night.

It will be interesting to hear what the potential logistics are after the beer and pizza fuel, isn't it that there are no logistics, you either have to sail back up after the downwinder is complete, or sail up to the start, or get someone to drive you back? ![]()
For those who are travelling solo, I am happy to meet early on the Saturday and Sunday mornings in Husky and load up approximately four person's and their gear (for the forecast) in either my trailer (that will be empty) and/or roof racks and head up to Calalla. Once we finish the day's activities, all I ask is that someone takes me and my gear back to Callala.
Dezza, your active Gustbusters membership gets you an automatic ticket. For the others, it will be first in best dressed
. PM if anyone is interested.
Anyway, I'm hoping that this will alleviate any of the logistics concerns for next weekend. Really looking forward to it and hope that the conditions deliver.
Looking at the forecast, I'd say don't bother coming. Treat the entry fee as a write off and save yourself the wear and tear on your vehicle. Fresh to strong gusty westerly makes for extremely difficult launch and return to shore at Callala or Huskisson.
REALLY !!!
Is your glass allways 1/2 full conditions might be a bit tough, but there's the after party every night
and who cares about wear & tear on your car we are windsurfers we travel to beautiful places sit around and wait for wind and talk crap .
See you there Friday for the noreaster. ????????????
You must like driving.
If you want to get to a nice Jervis Bay spot for a strong westerly, drive around the north side of the bay about 20km past Callala to Currarong. If you go into the Naval Weapons Range and follow the signs to Long Beach North you will find parking for about 20 vans at the end of the road and a great launch spot.
