I imagine many of you are already subscribed to Paul van Bellen's YouTube channel?
I thought this was some amazing footage.
Start at 23:45
Watched that one. He does some great stuff, including some board repair vids with MarkAus. Well worth watching if you're a windsurfer, good footage in Gero in that one.

Effin' over-rated in my book. A real self-promoting blow hard. ![]()

(Just kidding. You, sir, are the gold standard. Obligatory: "I'm a big fan of your work"

Haha you're too kind Paducah.
If this is your home break then you guys are lucky bastards. The only discipline you need is wave sailing.
I'm jealous
100+ days also
Its not Anton... its an imposter... Anton only wears a rash-vest and boardies... none of this full-length wetsuit crap. ![]()
Great sailing , flying and sound work! I sometimes get jaded in fact that we are in a world of short attention spans
-then this edit comes along and proves that there is a place for the slower paced stuff where we hold on to shots for longer. Instead of trying to be like everyone else (freestyle windsurf video clips are a repeat offender here) you are different - which is great!
Some great footage there. Geraldton looks like a really cool town I hope to visit there one day. How come windsurfing is still alive and well in the wild west, my non- windsurfing friend went there last year and he did a bit of a tour up the coast and he said if it was windy there were wind surfers and kites everywhere, one place he went too he took a photo and there must've been 100 sails and kites out there, I think he said it was near gero somewhere, 9 times out of 10 I'm out sailing by myself it would be awesome being out with other sailor's all the time. Is there flatwater sailing over there or does everyone wave sail.
Love this video sooooo much. It hypes me to sail every time I watch it and just makes me want to get on the water. Great footage, great editing, great sailor, great location......greatest sport :-)

There's no greater compliment.

Heaps of flat water spots in WA. It's pretty windy compared to NSW sea breezes so be prepared for that. You've got to do a trip some day you'll love it.

This was always obvious.
It's really not that interesting watching endless bottom turns and top turns with a bit of rock music.
I love watching the live PWA events to see everything other than the constant boring bottom-turns and top-turns and aerials.
Excellent commentary on the PWA events at Hookipa.
How do the pros get out in tricky hookipa whitewater? Checking out their gear on the beach? Tacking/gybing whilst waiting for waves? Scrambling back out after a wipeout? Getting washed up on the rocks? etc
The live PWA events and Flying Dutchman videos are easily the best videos in the world.
Sorry if you're just putting rock music to bottom-turns and top-turns. That doesn't require much skill.
Also the gear reviews of Victor Fernandez at Pozo by Ben Proffitt on WindsurfingTV were excellent too.
This is an amazing video. I love the transitions - fast tacks inside and fast tight gybes on the wave faces. Something to aspire to. Great sailing and great camera work!

Yeah, couldn't agree with this more. I really appreciate the editing that went into this.
It all makes sense as we follow him out on a port tack. There's a little editing of a little fluff i imagine, but the shots are long enough and lingering enough that we get a real sense of where we are. Then a gybe, and we follow him back in on starboard tack. etc. etc. repeat repeat, but we get a complete sense of where everything is in the scene, which direction we're facing, the scale, and the beauty of it all. And only the wind sound effect, which works perfectly.
And that angle, from slightly above and behind allows us to imagine ourselves as the sailor. (Bonus that I'm the same build).
Thanks for making it ![]()
...I'll get over there. One day.
Did I just see Falken Wildpeak ATs on the HiAce?
Interesting selection ... looks good and would relieve a lot of stress on the gravel roads.
I think this needs a video with some HiAce updates. ![]()
Priorities guys, we need a drone hovering over Mark Australia for a few runs? Mark?.. Paul? Maybe a series of technique videos? Mark "Peter Hart" Australia?
Maybe just leave it as people who can sail well. Aerial view of his planing tacks makes me cry for days.

I actually did do a video on this JakeNN. It's on my YouTube channel.
7.50mins ... That made me laugh!
19.30mins .. Bummer .. I wonder which one was the cause.
Videos just get better and better. I think Paul could be the next Alby Mangels.
Edit: Actually I was just watching some Alby Mangels on youtube to reminisce. ACA really ripped into the bloke about making up all the stories. So Alby Mangels as I remember him when the parents used to take all the kids to the cinema on a rainy day on a summer holiday. Great video's love em.
