Day3 quick report.
18-20knots of clean warm wind provided the perfect conditions for a packed day of racing.
I think 4 full tables of slalom and another 1hr freerace completed.
Everyone is is loving life even if the fatigue is starting to set in.
Tomorrow is looking even better (if that is possible).
Day 4 report.
EPic conditions forecast but some morning rain killed it off before it could come into fruition.
Race management still managed to fit in a free race session and result.
We then switched to a slalom table, but only managed to get half way through when the w8nd shut off.
Final day tomorrow. Stay tuned.
Congratulations to Brad for winning the Aussie slalom Nats and Dezza for winning the nationl womens Freerace. Looks like another really successful event. When are we going to see the full results?
Pretty sure current information on Greenislandnats.org website in result section is current.
Another wicked week and event. Many thanks and kudos to the team which put it together and run it all week.
Another GI pilgrimage successfully completed, so many big thanks to the dedicated team that do so much to pull this event off each year.
Whilst at the end of the day GI is about the racing and results, it's kind of also not. Too many things to list but the week and the location has so much to offer for everyone including non competitors, and the friendships you make along the way with crew from all over Aus and New Cal mean that coming back each year is a must.

Looks like im the last one here... where did everyone go ![]()
60Km in light wind today.... Gear area all packed up.. except for my stuff and .. one Boom which does not belong to me.
LOST PROPERTY
1 x boom...
shoot me an email if your missing one..
bearhooverpup@gmail.com Here until monday night.
Hi Ben it might be Peter Clifford's boom, I think he had his gear in that corner, I sent him a PM to check. Looked liked u were having fun out there this arvo. I dragged my gear to the 2.30 ferry, just wasn't the same today not having to fight Murray and Mike for rigging space in the bunker
Had just enough wind to pump onto plane with the 7.8..... was very enjoyable on the flats later in day ... what an event ... what a location ... well done everyone
Fantastic week of sailing in a cracker location and fun times the closeness of the racing was crazy but that's what makes it unreal racing.
I really enjoy the socialising with great people and making new friends see you all next year.
Mountain biking in the rainforests on last day with 8 of us doing it just fantastic.
thanks to the organisers and all who made this happen.
First time to GI and it's difficult not to over state how good the place and event is! What a week it was and I will certainly be doing my darndest to not miss the next one. Thanks to all, especially Ian Fox and his crew for making it happen. Absolutely fabulous![]()

I was just reflecting on the week up at Green Island.....
We are so privileged to be able to windsurf up there on the Great Barrier Reef.
Amazing experience without even taking into account how good the event and racing is.....
Can't thank the organisers and sponsors enough for running this event.....Very special.
I heard that next years dates are almost set...Just needs a few hurdles jumped before we can pencil it in for 2019....
