It's possible your big fin is crap.
My Finworks WBlade 13 can handle 26mph winds with 5.5 sail easily.
But use what works FOR YOU.
As you said in one of your earlier posts, the inboard footstraps position changes the way you can power up the fin. I imagine that lighter winds a long pointy slalom fin may provide some added performance but all things considered, it is probably best to use the original fin for the sail sizes I generally use. Sorry to bother you, but I have used the 13" FinWorks ONLY with the single rear and inboard setup.
And twice with 5.3 and 26+ mph winds....by mistake in judgement, of course.
