Trying to register as a member of windsurfing SA and it makes me join windsurfing WA to register. Is that right? Doesn't offer the single event fee just affiliate membership for $40. Not sure what to put in. Thanks
Hi Lao Shi, yes this came to my attention today. Have contacted WWA and hopefully they'll have an answer tomorrow. I'll reply back when I have more info.
Thanks, Paul. Awesome job on setting this up and thanks for the huge effort put in to get it up and running.

Spoke again to WWA this morning and the latest news is the 'Single Event Membership' is switched on and a $0 interstate membership option will be hopefully be set up tonight.
I am intestate (if i died) so can i get in for free?
Sorry Mark, you're in WA
Stuff the wave gear. I had a ball last time running the slalom gear through the waves and chasing the swell lines up the coast. Just worried a few by doing 20+minutes runs out to sea, just so fun. Racing in it would be awesome.
All the people that sail Coros use wave gear and don't have any slalom gear. If you make it slalom gear only you'd lose most sailors. Also the idea of the event is fun. It's not supposed to be a PWA event. You'd get way more numbers if you made it for wave gear.
Run what you brung is best but to even it all out if you rock up with slalom gear it must be obligatory to complete a wave 360 on the way in...or maybe a taka..
Edit- it is also an excellent idea, crack on bring the fun back, also see if you can get a beer sponsor! ![]()
Thanks mate! But I'm a teetotaller so a beer sponsor isn't on the cards haha
what about Orchy Juice sponsorship?
Does wave rally have a patreon yet? I think we need to crowd fund your event
Hey thanks thedoor that's super cool of you mate.... If you can spread the word and/or enter the event that'll do the job!
Hey Guys, just got word from WWA that they have sorted out the interstate registration issue. ![]()

All done but had to click on sign up for New to Australian sailing

When I clicked on Find your number it returned no records

Had to click on new member as my details didn't work

Then I could choose the Interstate option.

The Windsurfing WA website in integrated with Australian Sailing AND the Australian Windsurfing Association.
Yes, it can get confusing.
Anyone who is or has been a member of WWA or any club affiliated with Australian Sailing gets assigned an Australian Sailing Number. You will need to register via Returning Member. If not, you need to join WWA as a New Member.
When asked for a Sail Number, please use the number AWA has assigned you then we can easily cross-check your membership. www.windsurfing.org/sailnumbers_lists.htm
This is our first attempt to set up the Interstate Membership. Any constructive feedback and highlighting bugs would be greatly appreciated.

It didn't recognise any of my details or my AWA sail number, sorry. Only got it to work by joining as a new member. I have been a WWA member in the past and have been a current WSA member for the last three years. AUS-1588
It likely needs your AS number, not your sail number which you can lookup here, just enter your first and last name and leave the first field blank:

Website is now online....It may have a few teething issues regarding optimising for different platforms but it's a start!
