Another carrying technique at around 6:30
I use the method in the video (C method above but board rail on your hip and left hand holding board rail) with a Dakine Reflex seat harness which allows you to rest the board rail on the top of the harness BUT I walk backwards into the water using wind to lift the sail and board behind me. Walking with the board/foil leading into waves like described in the video is asking for trouble. Coming out of the water you can use the same method, but then you are walking forward so board and sail in front of you, and still using wind to lift board and sail. With an 100% carbon AFS Wind 95 foil, Goya Bolt Pro 135, and 9 m or smaller Aerotech Freespeed sail, plus 100% carbon mast and boom, it is reasonable weight wise as long as you get the wind under the sail to float rig in the air., with an 8 m or smaller sail (all I use now) wind is helpful but not as important since kit is so light. Note I only need to carry kit 10-30 feet and I have the board/foil resting on the seat harness, so harness/hip is carrying most of the board/foil weight.
