Hey T3/LeStef, any chance you could run a tape measure over the HP 13 next time you have it out? NP have published the overall cm2 size but I'm a bit curious about a few of the other dims that make it up, I'm tossing up between the 13 and 15 myself.

Will do tonight. Yes, they only have the area size on their website, must be a secret
. Vaguely remember from SHQ that 13 was 80cm and 15: 88cm. Will measure tonight. Cheers.

Here are 2 photos with shape and profile, Glide 2020 S vs Glide HP 13
So, the red HP 13 is 800 mm long by 195 mm wide at the fuse. Still thick and round at the front, but much less than the 2020Glide.
The 15 might be 8cm extra, but can't confirm.
And the new wing doesn't come with covers.![]()
Cheers.
-5deg here, I won't be sailing for few months... but ski for sure. ![]()

The new wings look nice. Looking forward to when they'll individually be for sale in my neighborhood. Thanks for posts of pics and measurements.
This guy (in French but Google Translate works well) windfoilfan.glissattitude.com/reviews/118 unboxed one and seems enthusiastic (in a very French way) about how it looks (good pics) but I have yet to see a test ... waiting patiently!

What size differences do the fuselages of the 2019 and 2021 models have? I tried the 2019 with a gekco 120 this last weekend and it seemed very back foot to me, as if it lacked more fuselage length. Besides that it cost me a lot to pass what I normally use formula and SB race.

I don't believe the Glide series changed the lengths between years (happy to be corrected), but I think they kept it as 80cm.
I think the length (lack of stability) issue for the older NP Pinkie Series AND to a similar extent the Blue Glide Series resulted in some folks making fuselage extensions, see www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Foiling/Neil-Pryde-Ali--Pinkie--modifications?page=1. Seems like a decent mod if you want to experiment with a cheap (esp. second hand) foil, although the question asked in that thread, something along the lines of "why do we even have to do this, why didn't NP do it from the outset" is a pertinent one.
I just did this mod myself, yet to try on the water (or rather my test guinea-pig, my wife, is yet to try it...
). The (tempting) NP Flight FR series more freeride than the Glide series, the latter which seems to be more for freefoiling; the new Flight FR has a longer (90cm) fuselage. The Glide series for Windsurfing almost seems an afterthought to the foils for Surfing, using the same foils as for Winging/SUP/Prone (but those Kits have an even shorter (70cm) fuselage.
I've foiled the Glide Wind (L) old style and found it adequately stable and I was on the 65cm mast which favors greatly stable ride height.
(you don't have much room for wavering up and down) Mind the dimension for the fuse understates the length as the fuse only extends over the most but not all of the wing unlike some fuses which extend past the wing.
Hi, i want to learn wind and wing foiling so i am getting a jp freefoil 115 es and np glide wind hp 15. I only ordered the surf plate adaptor (2 parallel US boxes), but now starting to get suspicious after i couldn't find any info or pictures if it is suitable for windfoiling or not. Does anyone know if i need to get the deep tuttle too?

The important part is that you have the windfoil fuse - which it appears you do if you have the Glide Wind and not the Glide Surf. You would only need the tuttle adapter if your board only had a tuttle box and no plate mount tracks. Place your plate over where the tuttle would go and you should be pretty close to where you need to be. Adjust only if the board seems to either have trouble getting in the air (move forward) or gets up way too easily (move back).
The windfoil fuse is 81cm long and iirc the surf is 71 cm if you want to double check.
Board is a wing/wind hybrid, it has double tracks and deep tuttle, 3 types of adaptors are available: powerbox plate, deep tuttle and surf plate (double tracks), they are all compatible with surf and wind versions. Their website writes use the surf plate adaptor and slide all the way forward to use the board in wing foil configuration, so i got that one to be able to use in both windfoil and wingfoil. I am
guessing forces on finbox are higher for windfoiling compared to wingfoiling, so i have doubts if surf plate is not strong enough to handle those pressures.

thanks for the observation! I am not comfortable perhaps because of the 120 gecko board type.? and wing size S. With which board have you used it? weight 100kg.

Custom board 219x88 130l. I was about 68kg when I sailed it. I have both glide surf and wind fuses so I can have a set for holidays for both wing and windfoil. The L was speedy but fun under the conditions 10-15. I usually foil smaller, faster foils with longer masts but the location was so shallow, I had no other choice. I felt like it was pretty easy to lock in ride height and not worry about touching down very often and I think I overfoiled maybe once or twice. The water was very flat.
The L was speedy
ooops should be was not speedy but it didn't feel like a dog either.
Hi guys, I finally used my new HP13 front wing put on my 2020 fuselage (and own back extension).
I still have the old rear wing.
I think the new one is facing up compared to the old one bent down.
Do you think it is a problem ? I haven't seen the new HP rear one for sale.
Thanks.
By the way, it was pretty good for the first day of the season for me. Promising.

Hi,
Here's video of free foil with head plate, personally I think it's spreads the load much better than just a Tuttle head, I've just bought the free foil 130, I'm planning on winging as well as windfoil, I've got original glide foil, rather than new hp.

I fell on the stabilizator today while winging for the first time, i hit my back, it didn't even cut 1,5mm neoprene rashguard, just a small bruise at shape of its tip, and it snapped from half.
Talked to some foilers here and they told me i was lucky its was a weak carbon.

Wow bummer about breaking that rear wing Sea Lotus.
So guys, do you think I should change my rear wing to the new model or keep the old one facing down as well as the front wing ?
I saw they are now selling just the rear one in Australia.
Thanks.
Which wing configuration of these foils would be recommended for more than 18 knots18 knots and waves without breaking? I have 100kg weight and a large board. I usually sail with SB race. Thank you
