Yeh OK JJD.
Ever been out in the water and had a larger than normal set come through?
Nah never happens, especially on a long period swell.
Re-read what I wrote "First couple of pics 3-4 ft the others 2-3 and dropped fast."
Not that hard to grasp really.
^^^^^^^
Because of your comments / pics I am heading there on every available swell from now on, and bring 100 of my mates ![]()
"And maybe next time, post photos of the waves and not identifiable geographical features please"
I agree with jjd on this one Mik, why identify it with and obvious landmark. enough extra crew surffing the place now!
You should know better
the odd small wave at point packed today, counted 40-50 crew on it. drop ins on every wave, sometimes 2 or 3 per wave.
teenage surfer (young kid) ran straight over the head of a body boarder (adult bloke), plenty of time and space to get off the wave before he hit him.
what a circus, straight banks everywhere else
Right facts:
1. Nowhere did I say it was 4ft and smoking. I said pics 1 & 2 were 3-4ft and the rest were 2-3ft I also said it dropped fast after that. Pic 1 was a freak as already intimated. I was driving along the beach saw a nice right, did a Ui, zipped up the dune and snapped that pic. I also sat there for another 20mins waiting for more, there wasn't any. It's a fickle bank that doesn't break very often. Good when it does though. Shall I see if I can dig up that video of it from last year?
2. Pics 1&2 are taken at different locations to the rest and the pic with the headland in it was actually to throw the hounds off the scent of where the waves really are. That sick looking left is about 1/2 a second away from imploding on dry reef and is unsurfable. And you would only recognise the headland if you've been there before, so it's a moot point.
3. The "secret beachie" that you're all so keen on protecting was empty when I got there and had 15-20 cars within an hour and rapidly became an absolute farce(it was also a bit gutless, although I gotta say the pics do look pretty good) so I buggered off and surfed somewhere else.
She ain't no virgin anymore, she's the town bike.
About as secret a spot as Gallows.
I would happily delete the pic with the headland in it to stop you all whining but it seems to be too late to edit.
*edit* All this carry on will just make crew think the joint is something special, it's not it's just a stretch of coast that has the odd day, same as Perth.
Do these shots ring any bells?

Just ignore them Smicko. Half the people here just love a good sook; probably because they never even manage to get in the water and are spiteful of those who do.
Lucky you didnt go Doggie, you surely woulda come home with a dribbly date.
Mik if you rekon its no biggie, maybe I'll take my laptop up next time and show the gang up there and see what they reckon ay?
Headlines "kneeboarder found in craypot"
I agree with it being no big secret, but no reason to promote it.
Good point Thommo, but I rekon you coulda shown photos of that place 15 years ago and people wouldnt have to guess.
No need for all the red thumbs, me an Mik go way back. He will give back just as much to me and more
And yeah, bit sensative about the place. practically grew up there. No point promoting it, thats all im saying
