^^^ I have not surfed there for years - I used to often. Looks like a great day for it. Nicely scored !

North Mullaloo was poop. Weed had cleared out but it was too wonky and shifty... I just never seemed to be in the right spot... one of those days where you paddle here there and everywhere to hoax peaks that just keep shifting on you.

Had a blast with a bunch of peeps shamelessly paddling out to sit next to me, mostly just inside of me, of course. Did suffer from the inconsistencies mid-session, however.

down south pretty good, 2-2.5m swell for 3 days
lefties solid off the bubble all week end, crisp clean offshore this am, and fri and sat
good high tide, really pretty good/excellent esp today

things have changed a lot, no one out around gracetown before 7am, if fact no one turning up til 7ish
lefties carpark front row had gaps, 6-12 out max, a few at noisies
some nice ones at northpoint this am, not a soul to be seen at 8 am, a dozen or so out last evening at NP, smoking!

got to admit i had a brave pill to venture out, a dolphin near gave me a heart attack, but no real fear once out there,

Here's one from yesterday, a very wet trip out and the bucket got some use but oh so worth it.

Buster about to cop a flogging!

Shucks

Got a few fun ones this arvo. Wind and tide ruined my session.
I suspect I'll have a ripper bruise soon, too. Ouchies.

Not really big but a little shifty and just a whole lot of fun with rain for the first hour and some sun shining through for the next. Getting up there was the only trying bit with heavy rain and some lightening. Oh, and that was just the first wave of the set for Buster.

I am severely jealous... are you between jobs at the moment or just on hols? as you seem to be scoring some mid-week joy whilst the rest of us are looking at the weekend forecast. Some pics to rub it in would be nice...

Man it has been pumping since Monday, swell has gone down a bit and up a bit.
have had overhead waves all week, Monday (and this week)was by far the best banks I have seen in Perth for several years, the trigg to florets stretch has had 3 banks all As magnificent as each other spread out near equally along that distance........mullaloo has been breaking, seen photos of spot and next reef up coast cooking as well.
basically it has pumped everywhere
it has pumped all month, Perth has not produced waves like the last two months has for several years.
all the beachies up to Kalbarri have been firing the islands have been pumping.
today is a bit smaller waist/chest but super clean, going down after brekky,
now the swell is supposed to bump again today, Saturday morning although nne will also be good if you are onto it.

if you have not been getting waves the last two months it has nothing to do with quality of surf and all to do with time management and actually getting out there. it has been years and years since I have said earth autumn was truly sick but it has been and I'm calling it.

not that warm at 6:30am
and tide super high.
Good for those that can go during the day.
That being said still fun waves about this week, i like a fatty every now n then haha nice mellow rollers to chill on, arch the back, cut backs instead of racing down the line on low tide.

Was at glenny's Gero other weekend and man the banks there were all time. had some quiet ripper surfs there 3 days straight.
Sweep was a shoulder screamer tho.

Soooo
For those of you unaware it was ne yesterday morning, I surfed Scarborough and it was truely entertaining, i don't think Perth holds much larger on the beachies.
obviously today the word was out and it was again ne, surfed from the point down to thirds heaps of little barrels.
I was on me mal full little drainers ,
today good vibe in the water and plenty of waves had a chat to a few old mates.

There was one particular gentleman who we will identify as El****ito who said hello good morning than proceeded to snake me , I entertained it the first time as maybe a case of retardation, as he paddled out a magnificent right came through, he tried to turn (i was nearly to my feet going right) and said he was going left, I laughed (now up and about to pull in) and said theres no left to be had here buddy than proceeded to steer my 9,1 through a sucky barrel and get spat out waaay down the line.
upon paddling back out me other mate yells out maaan epic left dude.
i smiled and laughed he smiled and laughed and el****ito paddled off to a substandard peak up the beach.

5 of us then surfed the peak in harmony and had a delightful time.

there is an el****ito in every line up, do not stoop to their level, play fair and karma will dish up the lesson for all.

thank you el****ito I have not been slotted on the mal like that for some time.
