I thought all those swimmers may make some much needed swell

Friday morning i had a surf at a Northern spot. More of a rock hugging exercise but still managed to calm the nerves a little

Slept in, got out of bed 7am, drove 5 minutes and bounced down a track to find 2 blow in's out where I normally surf. So bounce to my second and final option (if this fails I'll have to mow the lawn) no one out YEW
Back in the driveway at 10am, mowed the bloody lawn, took the young bloke for an onshore grovel, went to mains for a windsurf. Back home for dinner with the wife and kids.
Just another day

Woah. That is a huge amount of effort.

I slept in then took my grom to the skatepark.

Did the early and shared the stoke with a young fella who does a bit of work for me. If I took the pic a second later it would have been a nice barrel shot.

Today was disappointing at LBB. A little too much wind and too little swell. Got marginally better around 10:00am for an hour, but was def for the fish or LB only. As this was only my third surf for the year I was happy to just get a few on the mal, but really, it was 4/10 (and that's being generous).

Third for the year? And I thought I'd been landlocked!
It is very sad, that's for sure...

I'm not convinced just yet. How has El Nino affected WA this summer?

not even just the lake aspect - there's not even a distinguishable takeoff zone aside from the reef. normally one can rely on a slight build up of sand. seems there's a single bank stretching from trigg to at least trigg seconds at the moment. i almost feel like hoping for the first storm activity of winter to be of category 1 cyclone strength to rip it all apart properly.

I took a drive at about 1 and was pleasantly surprised to share the waves with only two others. Fun until the wind created the dreaded side rip

I was supposed to go as well , but the mates shed was burnt by fire last weekend.
I visited Lancelin along with the others who thought it would be OK !

Scored some fun righthanders today without the usual crowd. Let's hope we've seen the end of the run of crappy summer swells
