Yeah, I agree if I had a camera there were some absolutely smoking waves rolling through. Overhead glassy death pits.

Looked great on the cams. Desk bound as usual

^^^^ There are some banks around but most of the beaches are just shutting down. We need a big NW blow to stir things up again.

The super long period doesn't help the shape either.

3 days of fun metro waves :-)

A reasonable amount of good waves between the closeouts in the arvo... And the sunsets have been insane.

Disillusioned after yesterday I went to Kearnsy's today. Good at first then an hour millpond lull then a final pulse on sunset. Conditions perfect, just no waves.

Thought I saw suba at Perth's favourite beach this morning filming, but he was wearing a wettie so maybe not. Oh, and it was shutting down pretty bad and had backwash too.

With a high tide on that swell it was never going to be a great surf.

Yeah must have been a case of right place right time when I scored it, was not too crowded considering the location either.

Always the way with beachies, gotta take a punt and try and score, have had an epic morning session on a bank then gone back in the arvo and its gone and there is no swell!

I'm struggling to muster up the motivation to even go and look this afternoon. My usual haunt is just closing out and I have a small window of time so can't travel. Might go home.

I got wet this morning for my second only surf in 4 weeks

And you could tell

Bloody cold with that water rushing through your sinuses though..

Fullish tide but very clean.

A half dozen 666's loving the LAGO at Metts...

If you are a fan of smot it might be worth a look tomorrow - a few nice glassy ones...

You're a brave man to go there on a weekend quirky, if it's where I think. Crowded enough midweek. Must've been small.

Locals bail when it gets too small, so they it leave it to the grovellers and back packer blow ins.... Just call me a groveller !!
So then I can pretend to be a local, and scam a few more in the line up..

hey,, gotta get it when and where I can.. !

Talking about small,, if you know the conditions, you know where you end up taking off when its small. Mate BROKE his fin there yesterday, so I's pretty careful today...

Northern beachie was a bit bigger than expected and nice and clean... but very straight - some absolute board snappers coming through.

Took me an hour to get a wave that held up... then ended up with only another 5 or 6 for the 2.25hr session. Oh well, got wet...
