MUST WATCH press briefing with 2 US Dr's (please note, there is about 20secs silence in the audio towards end of Pt2. Important points made after) Highly recommend listening to at least the first 25 mins but it gets more interesting as it gets further along.

A mate sent me this photo. There's no water marks on it. I got no fnckin' idea who took it. Clearly you seem to know who took it, who's in it and what colour jocks he's wearing. Feel free to share Bossonator.

It's all good. I took it and there is no attribution with the posts it came from (Insta and FB) as I take all those pics unless otherwise indicated.

I've surfed there with GR on a fair bit bigger swell and I thought he recognised it and posted it as a bit of a laugh.

I shouldnt have bagged Rich out too much for that day. It was pretty wonky and he got more waves than me.

9'6" x 22 x 3 1/4 Yahoo 2+1 triple stringer gun with gloss and polish. It's a thing of beauty.

My other gun is a Precision Equip 9'6" x 21 3/4 x 3 7/8 - Tom couldn't get 4" out of the blank. I went for 4" because of GR's 9' Nathan Rose. I had volume envy.

Yeah my Nathan Rose board is 9'6 x 21 3/4 x 3 7/8 @ 83L. Had it out at said place a couple weeks back but with jet ski back up. Just easy couple strokes and I'm away. Getting caught inside is painful though and after a snapped leggy, on my own and a few hundred metres off the beach, I now wear a vest and have a flipper I've cut down that tucks under the back of my vest. Got the idea off Sol.
Was going to call you the other day Drip to see if you wanted to go for a paddle in the bay. Let's just say after getting pumped, rolled, dumped and slammed, I was happy with 1 wave and that was in hahaha

That sounds horrible. I've measured it on Google Earth and I reckon the peak is about 600m offshore. Having to swim in there with that current would be so hard. I've swum in at the wave to the south when it was 8' and that was super hard and that joint has nowhere near the current pushing you out.

I change my leggies on the 8 footers and 9'6"-ers every year on July 1 to try and avoid that. Swimming has knobs on it. I have a vest for towing and I hate paddling with it, but it is probably worth sucking that back - I've always believed you shouldn't surf a wave if you aren't willing to swim in it and a buoyancy vest is only going to help with the swim.

Jet ski back up isn't a bad idea and you can always tow if it's scary big. The days we have towed out there it has been breaking even further out than the 600m mark.
