Got out there today into some semi clean waist high waves. Mostly locals now as the holiday makers have gone. Banks still not very good but there were a few to be had if you picked the right wave.

I wasn't expecting much and it delivered. Lots of closeouts but a bigger swell out of the east. The wind was a bit east as well that made it a bit bumpy. Still got a couple though and it was uncrowded and the water was warm.

Save ,too little too late mate as you said it's been done on the quite it's done. What are you going to save? It's done, the damage has been done I don't agree with ripping those sand dunes up but let's face it that patch of sand has built up so much over the years you need a packed lunch before you hit the water. Best place for it and the tourist dollars for those businesses is going to be massive. Greenmount in its hay day had bugger all sand. Protest to return it to its natural state.

Bazz the big sand dunes right in front of the surf club have been flattened for beach volleyball courts for the games, Lacey told me there's a rally tomorrow at 10 to save the dunes but the damage has been done, best outcome is to restore it after the games. Side note, once the games were announced everybody was stoked saying how good is this going to be but as it's getting closer people are freaking out, so many are heading overseas to escape others are forced to close their businesses, customers are asking me if we are staying open wtf. Panic
