Didn't have surf this morming but had a swim with the mrs, beautiful in the water. We where having a swim and noticed a juvenile turtle in trouble getting bashed around the rocks upending it,wasn't swimming much and looked very tired.I got a wet towel wrapped around him and picked him up and took him to the Vet.We've since been under instruction from Taronga Zoo staff,we've got him here in our bath atm with tepid water and his head elevated(because they draw fluids from there bum apparently) and so he doesn't drown, also keeping him in a cool room so he doesn't stress. He's moving around a bit and will be taken tomorrow to the proper authorities,we've since been told we are doing all the right things to help him and he's probably swallowed plastic.Just found out from photos sent and messages back that it is a critically endangered Hawksbill Turtle!...

Oh that's good news mate, the time should go quickly for ya hopefully enough.Yeah the turtle is trying to move around a bit,she said they are pretty tough things, won't need food for a while as long as he has fluids. Also told us to put tepid freshwater on him to kill off the barnacles on him!...

Michelle will put a few pics up of him on insta in about an hour or so mate!...

Ah had to save the poor thing mate,he was getting battered around a fair bit and had no energy what so ever.We have a Vet here around the corner here who is equipped to handle these things. The National Parks & Wildlife will pick it up this week sometime after the Vet has checked him out!...It's strange having one at your house, haha,we keep checking on him?her? every now and then
