The 6.2 is wildly loose even with large mb fins. Got some large mf fins should do the trick.

There was a bloke there that was a death ringer for mac except

He was fit. Better looking. Younger Drives a nice mercedes Surfed a shortie and he was. ...

But he was a loud mouth talker out in the surf. Just like mac

So the 6'2 is back at the factory?

Certainly not.

Me and sdr are on a roll.

Its about finding a shaper and working with them. Not willy nilly different bloke for every board you know vanders

He's right van wilder think MR Bourton McT SBW Dale SDR Naish just one bloke to work with

Immodium , Roast Baa Baa Shank , a christload of Veg (minus any green stuff that could cause inexplicable 7.6 richter scale mudslides such as Cabbage or Broccoli ) finished off with plonk laden jous and a dessert of farking good local company ..... surely a recipe any decent greenroom frother will thrive heartily upon my dear Obelisk

Ha. When are you going to get rid of that unbranded piece of sh#t/barge and get a proper board.

Even sbw ware house 666's rate much higher then that "thing".

Still pup. As far as shapers go over 40 year of surfing have used only 5 shapers for shortboards. Two of thise where only one or two boards

I look at it like
If you want to try it then buy it if you don't like it get rid of it.

I kinda don't agree with your theory though but it's a personal thing. If I want a fish. I'll get one of a guy that makes a good one. If I want a mid, I'll get one of a bloke that makes a good one, Twin, Gun, LB, Log, HP shorty doesnt matter same theory for me. I tried the one shaper thing and was just never happy. I had lots of OK boards but now I don't have 2 boards in my quiver from the same shaper and like them all.

Took the Tolly for its first run today in light onshore waist to shoulder waves, on my own for the most part then a mate came out...the board is awesome, I've nicknamed it bladerunner. You can just run out your in front of the wave and really lean into your bottom turns. Those blade rails and kick on the tail just scythe into and send you racing wherever you wanna go. Swings nicely off the top, pretty happy with where I set the back fin about an inch back from forward, it really releases well. It responds instantly and trims high on steep sections coz of the low rails. A really easy board to ride, just knifes through breaking lips for late breaking floaters and lands really soft on free fall floaters allowing you to set a line around foam sections back onto the face. I think this is coz the boards narrow and has less surface area than the last 2 boards I've had. You also notice the stiffness when landing and crossing larger chop in the face of the wave. I like it, it just kinda cuts through, doesn't have that bouncy flexy feel you get with PU....I would have to learn to cross step and set up lockins to get any nose time on this board, but I was able to get one foot about about 1/2 a foot back a few times. But really this is a HP board and I love it. Hopefully this one lives forever coz its a keeper...fully stoked

Top report. Sounds like a keeper.. Actually sounds like the magic board from yours and other comments.

Might have to hunt one down.

It was a Gerry Lopez mate sadly it had to be retired a while ago due to another "water user" losing control of his board & putting a large hole in it (centre fin contact) .... good part of the story was that flying board missed a chick's head by inches & just took my ride out instead
