Pretty shotty conditions bit jagged early but I couldn't resist a 4pm grovel at townies

But - 2 big fat thick T-Bones grilled to perfection for Uncle & I soothed the lack of waveporn

It's supposed to start pumping here tomorrow arvo. Today we had 40 - 50 knot westerlies off a big low that's heading east. The same low that's going to throw up 4 meter plus south swell. At work all weekend but off Monday and Tuesday . I'll try and get some pics. You can take surf pics from where I work .

Nice peak banks up and down the Surfers region this morning...

Surfed out at Northcliffe Surf Club, on a great outer bank. I was very surprised to see head high sets this morning...
(Just south of Q1)...

You would have the better if it up there. It was almost nw winds which makes the southern points not good.

Yeah Lacey, I can tell the pick was up here today. South Swell direction, this end of the Gold Coast (North End) just angles enough to pick it up, and Rights running up the Banks... But, there were also some "killer lefts"... Pro Level Goofy footers would have been stoked this morning on my bank... Quick left barrels... Mini-Pipeline Lefts... Rights were easier, and longer... The lefts were the ones to catch on Film/Camera though... Lip throwing harder, scooting fast along the bank. A bearded goofy Longboarder gave them a go, but started hunting the rights... I know why, the lefts were Pro Level Fun !!

Whale show this morning too...
3 different locations, off shore about 400-800m for all locations...
Big Humpbacks making plenty of SPLASH!
We can only see about "one third" of the ocean too, so probably more Whales out there...
I assume they heading South now, for Summer Feeding Oceans!

(Big thanks to Bazz for the loan board too!)

Was big, 6-8 here this morning and built all day, supposed to peak tonight. Should be up that way just in time for the early. Swell is very south so will depend how much will get in there but I'd guess maybe a foot or 2 bigger

Pumping up this end, outside banks are firing at one place.... watched a bloke snap his board in the shorey, as he went to paddle out he was standing there, then the wave tripled up on him as he went from waist deep water to dry sand.... it was a good flogging... I'm still laughing about it
