Good to get a few waves today my wetsuit was almost dry ...fun shoulder high seaweed infested waves at the local beachie on the shortboard. Great banks atm, so funny racing along & then getting bogged in the weed

This was my longboard wave size limit this morning. I was more than happy with getting out with 3 waves and 1 longboard.

Funny thing happened in yesterday's little arvo sesh.

Earlier I pondered in theses hip hi waves if I could go the distance without getting my head wet,,why?
because I'm still getting over a flu and even after a shower the ears are crackling.

so I was peacefully sitting there enjoying the stoke when a 130 kg 666er the only other guy out paddled over.
he was struggling standing up to say the least, sort of had the goat rooter movement going on
the old hips thrusting forward hips thrusting back arms waving about.

i smiled and said G'day, then he tried to have a conversation and paddle at the same time.
he sort of paddled around me close like a circling shark.
then next min I hear this massive splash behind me
and im covered in water sort of like when somebody throws a bucket of water over you.

FMD I said, caught the next wave, must say it was my best wave for the arvo with a nice wall
to play with.

thinking about it now,it was funny,at the time not so funny.

Could have been far worse .... you were dead-set lucky as Bangalow Pigs Trotters in royal jelly .... that might have been a leashless hipster with Cranial Mange & terminal toe jam due to wearing Pop out Deus Thongs .... you may have dodged a smelly bullet I'd buy a Lotto ticket

The reports from both of then are crap anyway.

Maybe coastalwatch are going the religious route of the more you pay the more of a miracle you will get

got a few small waves 2-3ft this morning ..nothing special, but the water was special (warm), crowds were low , clear sunshine day, good chatty vibe, dolphins hanging around, easy paddle out ....oh hang on ..perhaps it was special

Lacey you disappoint me at times a man of your calibre should be able to open his eyes in bed, smell the salt air, look at the curtain move and make a call from bed

They have the 5 day forecast wind speed direction and swell height.
