Thanks for the amazing hospitality Tux. Great to catch up with you and the family. Shame I surfed like a kook in my new Michelin man wet suit. Very warm and toasty but maybe not the right piece of machinery for the job. Far to much rubber. Will give it another crack Tom and see if it's fate is sealed.

Well stuff him then. You have won on a recount. (Unless Gizzie is in town selling timber roof racks )
Hope the wettie works out for you. I surfed in a pair of runners once at a Fiji reef that wasn't really a surf break and certainly wasn't user friendly (and I was travelling without booties). It's amazing what we can adapt to if the waves are good enough!

I went to a wave today that was very very remote. First time I had ever been there - stumbled it on it almost by accident - well sort of. A friend in Indo told me about some waves in the general area last month but gave me no specifics - said I had to do the hard yards myself. Anyway it was amazing. Bloody cold. And there were 10 people in the water when I got there (Monday arvo in the middle of nowhere) - almost fell over - where did they come from !! Anyway its good fun to be out exploring again. Did a lot of km's today for some reward. Its going to take me a while to work things out over here I reckon - will be spending a lot on fuel Clearly no pics to be shared. Sorry.

Nice one Ted.....when I lived West of Torquay in 97/98 there were so many options, magic part of the world along SW Vic

Had a few waves here the last few days, but nothing special other than enjoying getting back on the shortboard.

Shared good overhead beachies with four others, a few on the head but generally a bloody good day. Strongish offshore made it a little challenging , but a useful thing for opening up some caverns, good times :) hopefully more joy to morrow the other side of town

Howling offshore here today with a weak east looking swell. Too windy for the barge. It's got a real wintery look about it.

If you just watched the surf report on 9 you would have seen old mate bald on red board getting some nice sliders at snaps.
