was only person on a longboard today. the clearwater HIGH PERFORMACE board was at its best. got sick of turtle rolling at times
yet my session was ended after an hour . a shorty caught a 4ftr that started to close out,he went for a huge mofo of an air and ended up in the flats.
so for all the rude and uneducated people in the water....not today,20 crew were on it straight up. credit to all as there was sets rolling and whitewater everywhere. hope your drugged up and getting some doctors buddy. freaked me out and i went home.

I surfed at a semi-secret location (well in the old days anyway ) but its one I will refrain from naming but lets just say its not far from my place (hereafter referred to as Teds fav spot)! Some fun 2 footers with a few 3's every now and again. The swell was pretty weak but the cross offshore provided some nice sections to play with if you got a good one. On the whole it was a joy to actually get wet and get some fun ones under the belt before the long w/e away. No Pics as its a secret and its a very long walk from where I park my car to where I surf (like 10 + mins).
LM, GM 1 foot slop on a Tufflite MCT first time I have ever surfed a tufflite weird feeling didnt seem to have any glide paddling in but up and running it was fun I need a new board badly
also waiting for Vanders to get his new CW to see what he thinks I would get the exact dims as him
I wanted to surf but the wind is howling offshore and its blown the swell back to see....should be back by tomorrow though

surfed head high and a bit bigger on the sets. very uneven and hard to pick the peaks. lots of water moving around. got a dozen good ones and got out after i scored a cracker. tomorrow is looking way better...i hope

Surfed the regular with 36 others, yes I counted. Don't you love public hols.
Even managed to have a pommy girl drop in on me on an NSP popout, pushing me into the rocks, no damage thankfully.

I hear ya Stuk - 2 to 3 ft perfection 40 mins south of you...lovely shape but an equally lovely sized pack.....managed to get my share though so no drama....watched some lovely waves ruined by people dropping in though

local this morning 6 - 8am. Not bad but a bit wind affected, jumped the key whole 3 times & got set wave each time, sorry if I snaked anyone but not many faces I recognise.
Walked outside about 11.45 ready to mow lawns & do weeding - whataknow its gone offshore as predicted.
Tide on way out, offshore, head high & bit bigger on sets with less than half the crowd of this morning. Why would I go anywhere???

Rode 100 k's this morning on me pushy. From 1 end of the sunny coast to the other and some. 3 hrs + 40 mins at an average of 27 k's an hour. But just had a walk up the beach and Wooo Hooo the swell has kicked a little and just found a few new banks for the morning.
Been flat out up in the big city upgrading my med skills for the last 3 weeks...was great to get a few small fun ones this morning. Its amazing how quickly your arms get rusty when you've been out of the water though. Really need to get in shape asap, coz we're heading over to Bali in 3 weeks
