Maybe its time for KS to retire - thats 2 comps in a row where he had an idea opportunity to make significant ground back on GM and he has failed. The old KS would have jumped on both those opportunities and rubbed his face in it. Might make for an interesting showdown at Pipe now. Will be all on.

I was suprised reading the results this morning,Fanning has a good shot at the moment. Its been a long comp this one with so many lay days,I think Parko's mind is elsewhere and returning home early to recharge for Pipe.I think GM is showing signs of cracking under presure at such a young age and also his country men and women want there first ever world champ!

Interesting development

Kelly Slater visited doctors in Orange County, Calif. Tuesday, November 4, to assess the condition of an injury he sustained to his foot while surfing Cloudbreak. Having conferred with medical experts, the 11-time World Champion has confirmed to the ASP he has broken a bone on his second and third toes of his left foot. The injury occurred while surfing in Fiji a few days ago. His doctors estimate he'll be sidelined for approximately 3-to-4 weeks, but they anticipate he will be ready to surf at Pipe Masters. The trip to Fiji was planned in advance but visiting one of his favorite surf spots in the world after a disappointing loss at the Moche Rip Curl Pro Portugal served as a good warmup for Pipe. Slater is a surgeon there -- he's won the Billabong Pipe Masters more than any surfer in the event's 33-year history.Watch Slater and the rest of the Top 34 contest the Billabong Pipe MastersDecember 8-20, 2014. All the action will be broadcast LIVE daily on the ASP homepage.Article via the ASP.

Its the same break i had on my toe. It will take him months to get over it, mine still hurts when jogging. But i think he should be fine to surf with it..He is a freak

He is Kelly. He won't get normal human treatment. He will be in some special chamber, or getting extra oxygen or his blood filtered or the like.

Elite sports people get elite treatment. I agree he will be at Pipe and likely do something freakish.

I'd love to see the pros (both male and female) doing bottom turns without the double pumps. Especially at waves like Honolua.
maybe worth some extra point percentages style wise
from the judges.

The girls are going off again. Courtney's two wave total was impressive..

She really could be the WT spoiler if she ends up against SG
