I have a plan for this board.

But im keeping it to my self
Im a slow learner but it's not worth posting anything on the breeze these day

Cool
i was wanting to know if it was a keeper.
its just that little comment you made about the wind and my left eyebrow raised

Hmm wide nose more catch of the wind ???

Cheers I know about that Mac, it was the comment ..Lacey sounded disappointed.
and I caught chrispy comment of what did he expect.
im not poking anyone It just sounds like it won't last long and that's ok.

From my knowledge nothing under 9 foot stays long term, the boy loves to try and seek other boards and thats a good thing he is able to do so.My call on that boards it will go.

Ok. Its not the nose. Its the incredible lightness. I have a plan for that
However its going to be for small right hand point breaks if its suitable
Dont think ill be going left into a se or sw wind at lm.

Definitely fun and fast
Im just looking at options then getting the mal out every time i got to lm.

Is it keeper -who knows
I would still have the seaplane if i didnt lose it to the wind gods so its possible. Swell bandit is still going strong

I would love a surf on it. I surfed a similar dvs and really liked it,was a very fun mini mal

It should almost be a mal with tgat volume, shape and construction for you anyway lacey, which I imagine is sorta what you were looking for?

You could still out paddle half of the Muppets clogging up the points on their warships and still be able to turn it and have fun, unlike those Muppets clogging up the points

Yeah I agree those muppets on over 10 foot boards give me the sh-ts
Lacey I have to hit the breaks when you drop in on me when I'm riding my 10 footer, please don't drop in on me on this egg thing, my breaking system is not that good.

Rude at times that Lacey

Actually he is usually the opposite. Remember the fin posts his board posts are usually good. it was just my cheeky way of provoking a better response. Which we got

Sounds like a fun board in the right waves LL. How did you find the edge all the way to the nose?

Im sorry about the dropping in occasionally but you let so many go and well .......

Question. Board has a full nose and a rounded pin tail which you can't see very well because its black carbon.

Is that what is known as a egg shape.

I thought it was more of a small m as l shape

Lacey that board looks like a fun board, an everyday fun board, have fun on it,dont worry about us, you just go have fun.

However its not what I'd call an egg because its not wide enough, thats just MO,I'm probably wrong Its shaped like one of
those beginner boards, please don't walk down the beach with me while your earring it,anyother boards fine but not that one

Pinched this from surfers journal. a bit of history on the egg. I wouldn't call that board an egg but probably not a fun board either.

Update. I was getting some old style fcs fins for this board from cable for cooly surf.
Explained to him what happens on lefts and what i was thinking of doing.
He said

A epoxy boards are harder to surf backhand .
B the getting stuck up the top is common complaint backhand and in wind

C remedy. Play around with taping small weights on the nose. Get it dailed in and use the weight when and if needed.

D lots of surfers in epoxy are doing this for certain conditions.

E dont put anything on permanent. You want to be able to have the board as original thoae small clean days.

Cheers and peace to all

DC weights really WHY? sounds like the issue is in the design,I mean lets buy a new car and ask why the front drivers side wheel is taller?and the super salesman replies, it helps turn the car around left had corners, come on mate ffs.

But hey I'm not a surfboard designer so I'm wrong

Could it also be a design thing in wide nose pulled in tail boards aswell. No idea why but I find mine don't like backhand as much.. They seem get stuck at the top as you described above.

I'd say 7ft.. Forehand they are fine. Just when it gets a bit sucky they seem to stick at the top on the backhand.

we want stuff in the forum yet mac is hell bent on revenge which I don't mind as long as it makes some kind of sense.
Fact is there is still a lot going on with epoxy boards . Different lay ups to get the right flex. Combination pu and eps planks . Carbon stringers . Dual carbon rails etc etc.

The only time I've had problems with epoxys in offshore winds is with a mal although I wouldn't be putting weights on the nose I just grabbed a different board that suited the conditions.have a cple of epoxy short boards and unless it's howling offshore they seem to go fine forehand and backhand, I'd be dubious about the weights idea but if you put enough on it might make a good tow board.
