If you are really after a TRUE hp longboard. Well there is only one. As Macs mate GT said,"THE king pin would be the best designed hp board he has seen![]()
On dims 9'1x 22 x 2 3/4 I'm a 100 kg and it's a boat to me![]()
Anyway I waves to catch![]()
Harley Ingelby Thunderbolt Tech HIHP is as good of a HP longboard as i have seen.
Hard to crease.. Light and a great shape,

Oh yes he rips and I love the look of those boards,I heard snapping was an issue but after looking at that clip I'd say BS, I love the look of them.
Ah ok, that isn't real good on a HP.
But i guess no matter what you can snap them if you are putting them in the lip and doing floaters etc...

True I think you should get one I'd love one.
I'm trying not to laugh![]()
The evo 2 is a quality made longboard..... high performance is where I begin to laugh. Not even close to it.
The Harley model I should have said as well....since I have raved about them enough.
The new technology looks crazy good to me in all the videos that Harley posts.
Hey mac how many of those snapped tollhurst boards were from people that you know who owned them? Or just some other source?
And to bring matt and Bob into it about GT is up there with the stupidest sh1t you have ever typed mac. Funny stuff.
haha all for a laugh
GT told me about the snaps so he is wrong on both counts, now this is getting funny

Read slowly mac.....I asked where how you heard about it....not that it was not true what you said.
Hard work sometimes![]()
The Evo II summary from the McT website: The sportier version of the Fireball model, our great all-rounder. More slanted towards performance surfing...
And some good comments from the enigmatic Simondo here: www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Surfing/Longboarding/McTavish-EvoII-Review/
And from another first-time longboarder like yourself, TDog, here: www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Surfing/Longboarding/The-Blue-Dream-Custom-Fireball-Evo-II/ including "...never did wrap this thread up properly so I'll have a go at a review. Can't really compare it to other boards though this is my first LB. Like Blair said back at the beginning of the thread, the EVOII is a forgiving board but I also find it responsive and super fun! At 9.1x 22 3/4 x2 7/8 it's been a great transition board for me as a long time short boarder. It thrives on long point waves at about 2-4' or slightly bigger. Narrower width is great for cutties and carving off the tail
though makes nose riding less stable but I'm frequently in the front 1/2-1/3 of the board and have lots of fun up there
The 3 profile rocker seems to work nicely with plenty of nose and tail rocker for steeper take offs. Decent tail rocker also helps with turning, and flat middle section is the sweet spot for trimming and gliding through the flat sections
Does it sound like I love it? because I do
and can see why so many others are fans of this shape!"
Sure, consider other boards too. But don't rule out the Evo II. It's a beauty.

I had a good look at the Tolhurst boards at Crescent Heads in May and they are not slanted towards high performance ,they are high performance, really nice plan shape ,very light and the guys that were surfing them said they were unreal to surf and they all made the finals of that comp. They also had a few demo boards there and feedback was really positive,I have no info regarding snappages and the likelihood of them,if i had a lazy $1400 Id probably get one but i have enough boards atm, will definitely be looking at them for my next board when the time comes.
