DCE is not the first to do this...

James Tedesco

Have all done the same thing in recent years. GI even turned his back on NSW yet the QLD selectors haven't been concerned about his character. What about the Melbourne blokes and the salary cap scandal - they had to know something was up ie 2 contracts, boats for family members, Harvey Norman cards with $20k to spend. Payments from entities other than the football club. Again the selectors have kept putting them in maroon jumpers every May.

I wonder if all the carry on from the QLDers would be as bad if say Nate Myles decided to stay at the Titans or if this is simply targeted against Manly.

Who can really blame him though the Titans will most likely be playing out of Logan or Ipswich next year anyway - the NRL owns them and could easily move them if an agreement is not met in regard to the use of Skilled Stadium.

Apart from Eagle Rock can anyone else name a hit single from Daddy Cool??

GUESS WHAT MANLY HATES YOU TOO!!!!!!!!!

Yeah. As bad as gi seemed he had not put pen to paper and as I understand he didnt use the broncos

Why would he leave a club which has a ground to play on one they call home, the titans are on a week by week deal atm.
Cbus is an awesome stadium to watch a game but previous management had the titans signed up and were paying the highest
rent per game.
Toxic titans need to sort a hell of a lot out and soon otherwise they will be no more.

the titans ground is good to watch the game and that is it. you are forced to get a train or bus there ,as there is not any parking.
so if you have a family with young kids or a ederly you are screwed,as it is a decent hike with loads of stairs to get to the ground....it was doomed from the start as i found, the novelty soon wears of if you are wanting to do it week in week out

I tend to sort of agree on this one - but think his management probably deserve a bit of a bash as well. Maybe blame them 25% and him 75%. He should be old enough to know better. But they definitely should know better.

You got me..

And Agree with LL & Ted.. They all deserve a good slap. The only people that got any benefit from this was the newspapers...

DCE the man and the "brand" are both damaged. Be interesting to see over the next few years how much. Couldn't see him being sort after to promote any products in the short term.

They've been wounded since round 1 - what should they be wary of?

^ haha classic

Don't worry the Bronco's are well aware Manly will put on a show tonight.
First home game for the Bronco's in three weeks big numbers in the stands.
No Parker tonight due to the rotation system by the Bronco's,could be a close one.

Poor old Toovs....

"Penrith have asked assistant coach Trent Barrett not to return to training until he sorts out his future with Manly later this week.

"As revealed by Fairfax Media on Wednesday night, Barrett will meet Sea Eagles officials to finalise a deal in which he would take over from Geoff Toovey as coach in 2016."

My mates' dad has won a CUB Corporate Box for 10 tonight at Suncorp.

All Manly fans (maybe 1 Tigers blow in) - I'm heading up the M1 tonight.

Interesting point made on Footy Show last night - if DCE were to suffer career ending injury the Sea Eagles will have to pay out his contract. With what has happened to Yow Yea and Alex McKinnon in recent years conceivably the next tackle could be your last.

An contract up to 8 years certainly changes everything.

As Mac & others have stated with the NRL owning the Titans could be based anywhere in coming years - Perth, Central QLD, Wellington (NZ).

The main problem is getting to the ground - especially from the south end of the Coast. Buses might go direct to the ground however getting home is the preverbal Cooks Tour. It takes 15 minutes max to drive from my place to Robina yet I'm looking at up to 1.5hrs after the game is finished if we go by bus. With 2 young groms (5 & 1) it simply isn't something we can do.

There are probably a lot people who like me only go to Titans games once a year when their team is in town. This isn't a way to build a loyal fan base.

Good point Dazzler,I get in the corporate box with sea fm,I get dropped off and picked up out the from of the rocket building the last game v broncos I didn't arrange the pick up as my mate said hey the bus is easy, get dropped off at broadbeach and cab it home.Well what a sh-t fight that was waiting in line for the bus,I noted the driver was going a route past my place so I asked him kindly if he would drop me off so I could walk 5 mins home I was surprised when he said no worries,my mate who lives in boardbeach got dropped off at the stop but waiting an hour for a cab and ended walking home never again.

I know where you can park your car 10 min walk from Cbus if you get in early like 1/2 time under 20's

www.brisbanetimes.com.au/politics/federal/petrie-mp-luke-howarth-campaigns-for-redcliffe-stadium-funding-20150604-ghh0t3.html

I'm sure if Redcliffe secured a NRL licence they could get funding to build a bigger stadium. The large disadvantage the Titans face is they have no Leagues Club ie pokies supporting the Football Operations. With no major sponsor & pokies behind them the Titans have had to survive by the largesse of white knights with deep pockets until the NRL stepped in.

A new Redcliffe based NRL Team could fund the purchase of the NRL Licence with the backing of the Leagues Club. As the article says North Lakes is certainly growing as is the Sunshine Coast with nearby South Caloundra expected to add up to 50,000 people.
