Lets not forget that you do not even have to win half your games to make the finals ! Its a competition that rewards average performers for the benefit of the TV networks. Manly may benefit from this stupid concept for once I expected us to drop off a bit this year and a lot next year. We may have fallen further than I thought and far quicker - but the season is but a few games old. The Roosters - who I thought and still do - will / might do pretty good this year - have lost 3 on the trot. And lets be fair - can a Ricky Stewart side really play well for a whole season? Can the Dragons keep this form up? Can the Tiger Pups survive for a whole season without key injuries? Can Cronulla really put a few games together without a few extra stimulants? Can the Titians keep up there form? Even the Souths have looked rusty at times There are questions to be asked on all clubs but its very early days. Nothing to worry about just yet. Round 14 before I will start to get annoyed. If the salary cap really does work then the Manly club should be rewarded for over performing over a long stretch of time. But we all know its a crock of crap and the intentions of the Cap are not played out in a balanced format across all teams for a variety of reasons. Manly have done well to remain such a top team for so long. But in all reality they should have had to rebuild a few times by now. This indicates to me they are either cheating (Storm, Broncos, Bulldogs in recent years etc) or a place that blokes like to play for and they do well because of it. I like to think its the later

Manly did not want DCE anyway - they wanted to keep KF but once KF went they changed their tune re DCE but it was too late. DCE knew he was not really wanted.
