So you don't think Graham's penalty was correct ?

no I don't think it was at all. the kick in front? what about morris being pushed in the back with 2mins

You can't attack the legs of a player. It's a rule that the NRL has been enforcing the past couple of years.
Foul play after a player attempts/kicks a drop goal means a penalty from in front. It actually was better he missed the field goal as it would have been a Souths penalty on halfway if he had kicked it.

spoken by a true souths fan...he did not attack the player. it was a genuine attempt at a knockdown, which is legal, and which all players would do... ffs scotty you are a smarter man than that comment...what about the rest of my reply then if you have the first part sorted

wtf with the field goal in front? please post that link up for me please...not what the knob with the whistle was blabbering

thanks for the link..that is new to me...but I did not say intent...ffs again scotty, watch it in slow mo...it was a genuine charge down. he went down injured and the refs reacted badly AGAIN...FULL STOP....ok lets have the kicker do as they please...first they will notify the ref that they intend to kick, the ref will then stop all players going near the kicker lol. there was nothing dangerous,or with intent, nor with neglect in the charge down...it was unfortunate your mate got hurt.

now im still waiting about the morriss one answer with two mins to go...geez im doing this and I hate the dogs

Chrispy you can't be farkn serious.
Morris shouldn't be on the field the dog, who kicks a player in the head scoring a try KO's them and STAYS on the paddock.

and now you're crying about the Pom ,,,the KING of the head butt fark me sideways....

please you are sounding like a dragons supporte.

Did not see it but to support Scotty for some stupid reason they have been enforcing that rule for a long time now. I miss the charge down. Still a big play in Union but effectively if the kicker gets touched after the ball has left their boot its all over. There used to be a bit of leniency shown if the tackler was already committed but those days are long gone. Most rules are designed to protect those smallest on the pitch

There was much confusion after lead referee Gerard Sutton handed South Sydney a penalty in front of the sticks when halfback Adam Reynolds' leg was taken out on a James Graham chargedown. Referees boss Tony Archer fronted the media post-game to explain the rule.

"If there is an unsuccessful field goal attempt, and there is an infringement on the kicker, that penalty is awarded 10 metres out from in front of the goal posts," he said.

"That's why they went to that position for the penalty. It's not where the ball bounces, which is just from a general play kick. That was the difference in it."

Whether the penalty should have been awarded or not, Archer was unwilling to say.

"It's really difficult for me to comment because the player has been placed on report for the dangerous contact, and there obviously has to be a process that has to occur in relation to that," he said.

Just seen the incident for the first time. Looks like he was a millisecond away from being lauded for an amazing play. But he did hit the player so its a bad one according to the rules. It looked like no malice in what so ever if you ask me. Seems like the Dogs supporters are still a bunch of idiots though. Some things will never change sadly.

Maybe Grahams run at turning his head and leading with his head in a tackle has come to an end. hahaha i can't laugh loud enough.
scotty does the rule state you can't tackle using your head it was when i played.

can't believe in the modern game this behaviour has crept back in. that little trick in the last two games against Souths has cost

Burgees a broken cheek

Mcqueen KO

Raynolds a Knee.

There're in there with a good chance.
Some good passages of play through the first 1/2.
Good rivalry between JWH & Sam.
The next player who throws a punch should be given a knighthood.
