i think you have more chance seeing a bike killing a shark than a shark killing a bike.
but if that shark is drunk then farkn lookout .
the stats say drunk sharks kill more bikes than trucks but less cars.
but lets not confuse drunk sharks on mobile phones riding bikes
it drops stats down to 0.12 of all shark related bike deaths.

And another thing. They say the chance/odds are so low and in the next breath they say dont go in dusk and dawn, murky water, river mouths etc.

I mean if the chances are so low why bother saying this stuff

Overall the chances of an Australian getting murdered is pretty low. Going to Somalia might not be a good idea though. Your risk rises markedly.

I guess it's the same thing. Overall the risk is low, but there are definite contributing factors that raise the risk. Eliminating them minimises the risk. Unfortunately dawn and dusk are often prime surf times and river mouths frequently have quality waves.

Probably a good idea. No point in rolling the dice if they aren't loaded in your favour.

All those stats have never made me feel better.
E.g. More chance of dying of a bee sting then attacked by a shark.
More chance of being struck by lightning
More chance having a car crash
More chance it's bullsh1t

You're loss pay up, for next time, i don't start work till 9 ish so go longer

Mac get a Surfsafe mate.. Its that easy.. But also with the amount of sharks sighted/reported Yesterday, i wouldn't have surfed today.

At least the crowds should be not so bad come January for my trip

Lets hope he pulls through okay. Bad news anyway you look at it IMHO
