how about some thoughts on how the 2014 NRL season will end.

take it away Ted... this should be good

After giving it some thought here are my thoughts on the year ahead a few days out.

Roosters - same team as last yr - you would think they will be better and will be hard to beat
Souths - have lost a few players to start the year in key positions but have a strong roster. Will go close again but fail when push comes to shove.
Warriors - have recruited well and this year may finally put it all together. About bloody time.
Cowboys - Have a great roster as well and a new coach who has finally brought them some silverware. Will not win but might well be a contender deep into the finals.
Manly - will be a strong team once more but I do not think we can win it. Love to be wrong.
Penrith - have the makings of a very good team over the next few years. They showed glimpses last year but struggled with depth. They will not have those problems this year.
Bulldogs - had a terrible start last year 1 from 6. I expect them to make the 8 and have a very tough defence but will struggle to out score the good teams - so will just make up the 8 but will not be a strong contender for the title.

Melb - they might just have enough to make the 8 but only just. I think their decline is finally about to happen.

Came close again this year with my predictions. Those stupid Warriors could have handed me 8 from 8. I still think Roosters are the ones to beat. Manly have a terrible injury list in key positions, Dogs are just plain terrible the last 6 weeks, Storm are beatable, Cowboys will fall short, Penrith are playing better than I expected and might just cause an upset or two over the next few weeks. Souths - the less said the better - Broncos - no chance.

Got my members passes for Allianz for Friday night.
Your supporters don't travel Ted so am expecting Allianz to be covered in red and green.

your waffling on Ted

Mate if you string 4 games you win. IMHO anyone can win this.
the Question is can roosters string 9 games in a row to take it out
they are looking good.
can't believe parra and Kiwis choking to let broncs in, now the funny part broncs play cowboys who they have the wood on.
i would like to see souths get up but after their LAST game i don't think they can, worst game for the year for GI.

can't believe how everyone was talking about Pearce catching GI last week.
Gi defence 120kg on a track that was wet and long pearce is only about 88kg

thats how you waffle ted

It's hard to believe they only get $100K for minor premiership.
It's been that much forever.

Here's the Sharky's mad Monday at Sauce Bar at Coogee.
They hired 2 topless bar maids.
Made the Tele today.
Mum and Dad must be so proud of her.

End of last season the Bunnies had their Mad Monday in a downstairs bar area at one of the local clubs.
The bar area has NO windows.
It's not rocket science.

I bet the mum whose son that is peeving down is really proud as well. Its not like the Sharkies do not know when their Mad Monday will be - as soon as the draw is out they can lock it in - which gives them plenty of time to prepare. Apparently two blokes from the AFL took it even further - one dressing up as Ralph Harris and the other as a school girl. Jeepers - are footy players really so far removed from society.

The following is not meant in bad taste to the events in Byron.

If you assume the following:
Week 1: Cowboys beat Broncos (and Roosters beat Panthers)
Week 2: Cowboys beat Panthers
then Cowboys will meet Souths in 2 weeks for GF qualifier.

On the other side of the draw.

If you assume the following:
Week 1: Storm beat Dogs (and Rabbits beat Manly)
Week 2: Storm beat Manly
then Storm will meet Roosters in 2 weeks for GF qualifier.

Clear as mud ?

ANZ as Souths were winners in week 1
Edit: as Sydney teams made up top 4, all games involving these teams will be at Allianz or ANZ.
