GREG Bird's dangerous throw charge has been downgraded at the NRL judiciary.
The result means Bird will miss just two games, including the opening State of Origin game for NSW on May 28 but will be available for the Blues in the final two games of the series.
Bird had the charge dropped from a grade three to a grade two after being charged by the NRL match review committee for a dumping tackle on South Sydney's Bryson Goodwin in Gold Coast loss to the Rabbitohs last Saturday.
The Titans back-rower was facing a six-game ban and the prospect of missing the entire Origin series.
