I thought that the idea was to win the comp...but then it's always good to put a positive slant on things..
It my eyes it seems NRL journos egos are more important than their readers. Case in point is the lack of coverage in the papers (NSW anyways) of the Penrith win and particularly the performance of the debutants. Apparently Ivan Cleary's responses/ co-operation with print and fox Scribe's over the 'approach the refereees in the tunnel' incident has got hi off side with big heads in the reporting game.
