Looks like Foran is out though.

Anyone want to have a shot at picking the 8..
Not in order..

Raiders
Parra
Warriors
Dogs
Broncs
Cows
Roosters
Sharks..

Not sure how I left the storm out but...

Not sure how you left Manly out

The Riaders look good on paper but don't forget who the coach is

Bait???

But probably should of had soufs in there aswell as Manly..

I reckon top 4 will look similar to last year and the rest could be almost anything depending on injuries etc..

Looking forward to it. Should be a great year of footy..

After the circumstances surrounding the axing of our last coach its fair to say that I will not supporting them this year with any passion. Its time the Warriors stepped up and completed a full season of effort for a change. They have a great squad. Just need some consistency.

Sea Eagles are specials for the comp. We have recruited very well, yes losing Foran is a shame however we have jettisoned a number of players past their prime - ie G Stewart & Watmough and have replaced with Nate Myles & Tapau.

Still very potent right hand side - DCE, Lyon, Trovokic (sic) & left side is still good.

Listening to Talkin Sport the other day they said not to back Semi Radraarararara to back up as leading try scorer as he will need to teach Michael Jennings to pass the ball. Can't recall ever seeing Jennings pass the ball to his winger!!.

Go Manly

8 weeks and $125k - thoughts? I think the ban could have been longer given how others have copped things. The money should act as a reasonable deterrent for others one would hope. Disappointed that $50k is suspended. So all in a bit light if you ask me.

At the end of the day,he is only a footballer and if people use footballer players as role models well they will fall short.

Yes I get where you guys are coming from but he is only a football player with little education one would think.

It is not even so much about being a role model. He is the captain of a NRL team who rely on corporate sponsorship dollars. The NRL itself also needs a good image for the mums, dad's and little johnnies.

So yeh he needs to be heavily punished for being a repeat fuctard

boofhead footy players aren't role models to us grown ups but what about the 10-15 year olds, although its not illegal to get pissed and simulate sex with a dog,its disturbing,he should get a todd carney punishment, but hey daddy is up there somewhere on the committee.
fine 125k was ok
50k suspended, good chance he will loose that(past behaviour dictates future behaviour
8weeks rest,from when,new years day
still got state of origin, daley wont sack him
the guy is not an alco,he is a farkwit binge drinker,he is allergic to piss,.

I can't pick and choose who my kid looks up to as a role model...

He is a public figure with a bit of talent, like it or not part of the deal is being someone who kids look up too..

And the education? If he is uneducated it is his own fault. Football got him into a good school..
So if he blew it he has himself to blame..

Mac I get your point and kinda agree with you but they are judged by different standards, bloke down the road isn't in the public eye, doesn't get paid to be in the public eye so it isn't quite the same.
it sucks but that is how it is...

Bloke down the street would cop **** off his mates for a lifetime... Pissing ya self and dry Humping a dog. I know If it was one of my mates he'd be getting a brutal nickname out of it..

Mac, he got fined 10% of his annual income ($75k of $750k).
If old mate from down the road runs around SCG naked he gets a $5k fine which is 10% of his $50k.
It's in proportion.

James Roberts post match interview,if he wasn't scratching himself he made a comment about speed,he said he had more speed than Oxford Street, poor form James. He has a lot to learn,he also said when asked about his new home at the Broncos his reply its not too bad other than the drive.

If he doesn't learn you'll be correct,I'm sure management will be taking him aside after his post match interview, they will probably put a media ban on him.

The funniest part was after he said and the cameramen back to the box, joey was killing himself laughing, but Phil Gould giving himself a double face palm was priceless
