Did the board get finished in time for Vanders to hand deliver?

Mac,

It's a Whalebone. It didn't get done in time. SDR is such a gentleman he is shipping it to me free of charge.

9.3 x 23 x 3

Wait until you see the artwork...

I think I am on the outer.

I was looking for more of an all arounder and I know everyone will say the Hotlog is an all-arounder but we don't have perfect little point peelers so the Whaleboner is the ticket.

Off with them McHenry, the Hotlog is not an all rounder, the Whalebone is ,so you have chosen the correct board.

Chrispy's 903 the same dims as yours is a nice looking board btw.

I just trusted SDR, was honest with where I am at and just went off his guidelines for size.

He certainly knows whats up. Looking forward to getting it in my hot little hands.

I have two weeks off coming up as big bro is coming for a visit from Canada so I'll drag him down to the beach a lot so I can use it !!

I think you should take him for an adventure down to Elliston and surrounds - loads of fun waves down there - just look out for the sharks

Does it really need two people to drag it down the beach

Do you think SDR would give me a discount for this CW pimp thread

Yeah, not sure if big bro wants to drive to Elliston. Maybe Goolwa or Middleton instead.

So what are the differences between the WB and the HL?

I think vanders has one of each...

If I was to have a Clearwater quiver I'd have both the Hotlog and the Whalebone, two different boards, the hotlog is by name, its a hotted up log but its no HP/ Allrounder unless your a seriously hot surfer. For the average Joe the hotlog is a trimming noserider which you can turn but nowhere near as easy as the whalebone.

If you see both boards side by side you'll know what I'm saying.Gees I must have some SDR credit by now

Mac you devil.
I love my hl. I,ve had it out in pushing 6' alley and I can say its not a real lot of fun. But for me its about getting waves way earlier then anyone else. Trimming sections no one Else can yet still make some half decent drops when you have too. After that I'm going to be on something like my wombat.

But I'm still tinkering with the idea of something say like Mac,s ego 2sorry evo2 which I really liked.

Reading McHenry post and the waves he,s taking about the whalebone thing is a good call

Apparently might be ready to have a dip on saturday

I think Chrispy said it was an all rounder made for anyone from 70kg - 120kg So it really had real purpose other than that - was not a nose rider or a performance Mal. i found it a lot of fun. Wonder how it's getting on down south.

Was the beginnings of the Whalebone SP

And mchenry, sdr would not sell me a hot log as i don't surf the points enough, hence why he made me the whalebone

I dropped it off to OB just after I got back from Indo the first time. He would have had it a good month by now I suspect. He has been rather quiet of late - will give him a call tom and see how he is getting on.

After having dinner with McHenry last night and seeing that he's an athlete, he'll be ripping it up on his whalebone and representing the CW label with pride and ability.

The whalebone is my go to board even at 10', it's so forgiving and predictable, everyone apart from Lacey (lightweight so too much volume) has been impressed at how it performs, from how it recovers from less that ideal take offs to how well it paddles onto waves. If I broke it tomorrow I would order exactly the same board again without hesitation.
That said I now have a hotdog on order for those tiny days and for the plan to learn to nose ride the thing.

Mac just order one, actually you'll get 2 CW's for the price of what you usually pay.

Vanders only if SDR wants to donate one, which would be good for his marketing I've done more pimping than his beloved forum CW team riders of late
My trade value is about the same as a new CW so it pans out mighty fine for me thank god

Surf has been average down here Ted. The board was opened up on Sunday morning, but bot used, as we needed all 97 litres of my Diverse and Ob's yella boat to catch anything..... I'm heading up north to QLD on Sat, for two weeks and when back will have a couple of runs on the Beergardenboard before we hand it over to any other Sydney Breezers.
