little bit of confusion about HP long boarding here.

why does it have to be surfed like a short board….peeps are confusing the issue

and projecting an image of a ten foot board and surfer having a fit while riding it.

take Josh constable for example power surfing coupled with classic longboard moves and effortless style = Hp longboarding.

Here's one of my oldies . 9 1' x22 1/4 x 2/ 3/4 but the rails were rolled down pretty fine and very thin in the tail. The nose was slightly pulled in but could still noseride ok . One of the worst things about being forced onto a 666 is not ordering a custom. It's hard to get excited over a popout.

I like to think I've started the move from bbq to letterboxs

Is that so Mister Lardy Dar Lacey knickers Well you have just copped a BEERFINE my old Poppycock ..... you know the caper 1 x 6 Pack of full strength Ale , none of that Wombat Piss in here ..... Section(iv) Paragraph (L) ....."Tight-arsed , Smartarsed Chippie in a Condominium with no BBQ" rule .....

Don't bother appealing because I shall smash you ..... and then smash you again ...... and most likely smash you yet even further my son

I Disagree, JC is very classic, nose rides/tube rides/ drop knee turns... cant say i've ever seen him hit the lip, but i even hate that in SB'ing, I mean i cant stand watching Mick surf, looks like he's having a fit... I guess i like surfing/surfers working with the wave rather than tearing it apart

Nailed it. Snake man...

Funny that the hipster scencesters are so anti proper turns.
The blokes in the 60s that they are fawning over would have killed for boards like today's board.
And yet somehow not being able to do a proper bottom turn has lead the average wknd warrior to think that paddling a boat, taking of on angle and shuffling around is somehow soulful longboarding, please.... You look shocking.

Not talking pro's here cause most of them are more HP then most people want to give them credit for... Joel Tudor is the most high performance long boarder of the last 15 years. Maybe Taylor Jensen ATM and he can win an ASP comp one day and a nose rider one the next? Why cause he is a good all round surfer... Why isn't he in the duct tape??? Image...

As for mid lengths being a HP option, they are anything but, they are the opposite, they are about fun...

I don't buy the whole HP/ log board bull**** anyway ...
I can buy a LB that paddles like a dream, comes of the bottom, turns, hit lips and will nose ride as good as any log.. And ride it 95% of the time... It's called a longboard made by someone that knows there **** and giving you a board that works and isn't a marketing prop..

Ted, you are lucky Pup was busy smashing Lacey over the Letterbox vs BBQ scandal, or you very well might have a copped a record-setting Bintang fine for that.
