Definitely doing woopi in March, but a lot will depend on the swell prediction.

I'll shoot for March 4th & 5th to start with. but I'll stretch it out till later if it don't look so good.

Sorry, other people scheduled meetings for me on Friday 3rd and Friday 10th March.

I'm now going to aim for Friday 17th March.

I'll send some PMs

I might be able to make that one OB. My leg is healing at long last. So will be frothing to get wet if the swell co-operates

Yer it's pretty much a Footy Match , tickets will be released directly , the Linament truck ordered , beach pre-sealed off & dune vegetation placed on high alert , dust yer boards off , look deeply into the Shoithouse mirror & commence pre-start Hipster check , get yer excuses sorted , undies packed , clean ones , wax stacked , fins stashed , aftershave at the sling , piss money filtration underway .....

The best thing about knowing that Ted is interested, is not having to worry about understanding the forecast, Ted is brilliant at it.

By the way Ted, I had to do a tour of your workplace recently for a pitch we're doing on about 8 properties being tendered at Macquarie Uni, so we went through a lot of the campus buildings.

Most were pretty average, but the cochlea building was absolutely amazing.

Being hearing impaired all my life means that I've always been interested in the cochlea since Professor Clark came up with it back in 82, what completely blew me out of the water was finding out that it's still made in Oz, I thought for sure it would be made in asia by now.

They've got the biggest grade 7 clean room in the southern hemisphere. And the staff must train for 12 months full time before they even let them in the room. Funnily enough, everyone working in the room was asian as far as I could see.

They even have a facility to 9 train doctors at a time to do the implants.

Very interesting place.

Mac - if you are coming definitely then I am pretty sure that the others would be happy to consider other dates. It would be great for me if you could make it - so I can see your McT collection in the flesh

At this stage I am super flexible as not being at work there are no meetings booked - yet ! So give me a date sooner rather than later and I can keep it that way.

OB - I am in the nice building next door to the Big C - Australian Hearing Hub - did you check that one out as well? One of the best on campus thank goodness. Our previous home was an old 1970's horrid building - one of the ones presently being reno'ed

Yes, Australian Hearing was one of the buildings we went into and we did go into that big noise isolated testing room in the basement, but I've seen that before when I managed one of their old sites near Dehli Rd.

To be honest, the AH predecessors were the ones that misdiagnosed me in the early 50s and sent me away to have my tonsils and adenoids removed when I was 3 years old, in the mistaken belief that I would be cured. I wasn't, I had a genetic disorder, probably what's knows as "autosomal recessive deafness".

That meant I went through the most important learning years of my life, teaching myself, because I could not hear the teachers and I just thought I was a bit stupid.

This may help you to understand why science is so important to me, the more we know, the less chance there will be that other children may not fulfill all their potential.

I had better stop writing now.
